Well, we hope you enjoyed yourselves, Liverpool fans. You wait 30 years to win the title and then Jurgen Klopp’s crew completely capitulate the next season and Manchester City hoover up another one.

Then Chelsea come along, spend £985m on young talent and have the audacity to employ a proper manager to manage them. And where does that leave you? As Paddy’s 3rd favourites for the 2021/22 Premier League title. That’s where.

New to Paddy Power?

It’s been a long summer, with non-stop sport from the Euros through to the Olympics, but the Premier League starts again on Friday in case you hadn’t noticed. And, to celebrate the return of the Greatest League In The World™, here’s who Paddy’s traders think are most likely to be crowned the Greatest Club In The World™ come May.

They may be pleading poverty after spending just the £100m on Jack Grealish, but Manchester City are Paddy’s favourites to retain their crown and win the title again. Imagine if they could find some cash from somewhere and dig deep to land Tottenham’s Harry Kane as well?

Chelsea are second in the market and they’re set to re-sign £100m striker Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan. He’ll add much-needed firepower after the bargain £60m signing last summer Timo Werner misfired in his debut season. Thomas Tuchel will surely launch a title charge with his Champions League-winning squad.

Liverpool are our trusty traders’ third favourites and will be boosted by the return of their talisman Virgil van Dijk from a lengthy injury, but their squad is getting older with no major attacking incomings over the summer. Surely there’s only so far a gleaming pair of gnashers and madcap touchline antics can take you?

Manchester United have splashed the cash again to sign Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane but they can’t knock the Kop off their perch and are Paddy’s traders’ 4th shortest team. Is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer actually holding them back?

Leicester come next, ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham, with all three having huge prices to shock the league and win the title. Outside of that are the real roughies with eight of our 20 clubs currently being priced at 500/1 for glory.
