Football tips: Alan Cawley’s League of Ireland best bets this weekend

We’re back with another round of fixtures in the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland this weekend with two games on Friday, one on Saturday and two more fixtures on Monday. Kicking everything off is Drogheda v Waterford at 7:45pm on Friday night. We also have Shamrock Rovers v St. Pats at 8pm.

At 7:30pm on Saturday, Longford host Derry before attention turns to the two games on Monday. Finn Harps host Bohemians and Dundalk travel to Sligo Rovers, with both games kicking off at 3pm.

The standout game of the weekend is Shamrock Rovers v St. Pats on Friday, with both teams level on points at the top of the table. Shamrock are currently first on goal difference. Sligo Rovers are three points behind, while Bohemians make up the top four.

At the bottom of the table, Longford are eight points adrift of Waterford, with Finn Harps just one point clear of the bottom two.
