John Terry has been spotted in a full Swansea kit having left the Aston Villa assistant manager role to search for a full-time manager position.
The former Chelsea captain was seen by numerous sources in a Wimpy car park off the M5 as he quickly left the greater Birmingham area – with the South Wales club believed to be in his sights as they look for a new gaffer.

And, according to eye-witness reports, the ex-England international was decked out in the Welsh side’s distinctive white-and-black garb already.
“You couldn’t miss him,” said truck driver Jerry Dixon, who was tucking into a full English as the 40 -year-old centre half strode into the motorway restaurant.
“Obviously, you immediately think ‘full-kit w*nker’ when you see someone dressed like that – but then you realise it’s JT.”
“And then you think, ‘yeah, a complete w*nker.’”
And another customer suggested Swansea may not be the only move he might try to curry favour with in the coming weeks as he tries to get into the management game.
“I could still see the tags on the Swansea shirt – it looked like he’d just bought it. But I had peek in the back of his Merc on the way out – looks like he has Derby kit for whenever they sack Wazza, just in case.”
The news comes following initial reports that Terry, on leaving the Villans. would source a Team GB Olympics tracksuit to join gold medal celebrations in Tokyo, but those have proved to be baseless as he clearly departed the service station heading west towards the Liberty Stadium.
And it remains to be seen whether the Swansea hierarchy will be wooed by Terry’s charm offensive, with a club statement saying: “We’re flattered by the interest from Lion Heart JT™, but we have to consider the team morale, as well as that of their wives and partners before we make any appointment.”
Terry could also be in the running for the vacant England under-21 role, putting him in prime position to replace Gareth Southgate whenever he chooses to move aside.
“John would love to be England manager one day,” a source told us when discussing his options. “Obviously he was upset when he wasn’t allowed into Wembley in his full-kit for the Euros final to collect a runners-up medal, but he’d bury the hatchet if it meant getting a job with England.”
