Time to make a switch. Again.

Jack Grealish has switched international allegiances yet again by declaring himself a Love Island ‘player’, Paddy Power News can exclusively reveal.

The 25-year-old will go straight into the Love Island squad for tonight’s episode at 9pm on ITV2.

It’s understood the former Republic of Ireland youth international made the switch after he was restricted to cameo appearances during England’s run to the EURO 2020 final.

Grealish is reported to have rejected approaches from ITV producers prior to the tournament but changed his mind when Gareth Southgate subbed him on then off again during the Three Lion’s semi-final against Denmark.

The midfielder is eligible to represent Love Island due to his dashing good looks and penchant for boohoo clothing.

‘I didn’t know where my head was at over England since the Euros’, Grealish told Paddy Power News during an interview in the Love Island beach hut.

‘Gaz was so salty when he subbed me on then off again’.

‘When ITV producers stuck it on me after the Italy game, I was totally pranging out’.

‘It’s been a total tuna melt, I’ve decided to pledge my international future to Love Island’.

‘I guess I’ve always felt more Love Island-ish, than Irish or English. I’m fluent in the chat, I play for Villa and there’s a big villa here. It’s a perfect fit really’.

Love Island’s Twitter account uploaded a photo of Grealish in a salmon coloured shirt along with the caption ‘Will new boy Jack be turning some heads tonight?’, which the Aston Villa skipper retweeted.

Meanwhile, England boss Gareth Southgate admits he feels ‘mugged off’ by Grealish’s decision to switch allegiance to Love Island.

‘It’s proper muggy’, the 50-year-old told Paddy Power News.

‘When I gave him the number 7 shirt I thought we were catching feels’.

‘But Jack’s not loyal’.

‘On paper, Jack’s 100% my type. But he just doesn’t give me the fanny flutter like Mason does’.
