Argentina face Brazil on in the early hours of Sunday morning in the final of the Copa America. The Argentinians will be looking to equal Uruguay’s record of 15 titles, while Brazil can win their ninth should they come out on top.

As one of the oldest rivalries in football, this will be the 108th meeting between the sides. However,  with Brazil playing on home turf they surely have the advantage here. Both teams are in great shape, especially at the back and this should be a belter of a final. Let’s get you some tips!

Both Teams To Score

At first glance the odds appear to be quite high here, you’d expect with both teams having such an impressive arsenal of attacking players across their respective squads that they would be a bit lower.

There are two reasons for the current prices being as high as they are; so far over the tournament Argentina have kept three clean sheets across their six matches. Brazil have gone one better and have kept four. Secondly, if we look at previous meetings between the pair, over their last five games against each other Both Teams to Score hasn’t landed in any of them.

However, of those five games, three were basically exhibition matches – played in Sydney, Riyadh and Amman – so they don’t really count for much at all. If we only look at their five most recent competitive matches then we see that Both Teams To Score landed in three of them.

The sides are in good scoring form, Argentina have netted 11 over their six games. Meanwhile, Brazil have scored 12 over their six matches, and with this being the final neither side can afford to not to go for goals here.

Argentina Over 0.5 First Half Goals

Both sides have approached their games in pretty much the same way. Well, not pretty much, it’s exactly the same way. Score early, defend the lead, pick them off on the counter. Tite’s charges have scored at least one first half goal in four of their six games.

Argentina have scored a first half goal in all six of their Copa America matches though. Indeed, Lionel Scaloni men have netted a total of eight opening period goals over the tournament so far – with Brazil scoring four first half goals in total.

Lionel Messi To Score Anytime

Currently, Brazil’s Neymar is the favourite to score at anytime over the 90 minutes. However, over his five appearances he’s only scored two and both of them came in the couple of games in the tournament.

Lionel Messi is the leading goalscorer of the tournament, with four goals over his six games and really, seeing Messi to Score Anytime is some incredible value – particularly as he’s obviously on freekicks and penalties and with this probably being his last Copa America. The match is also against Argentina’s fiercest of rivals and with it being played in Rio de Janeiro as well, he’ll be absolutely gunning for goals.
