In the early hours of Tuesday morning the final games of Group A in the Copa America Group take place. Four of the five teams involved have already qualified, but now they’re playing to cement their places as high as possible in the table in the hopes of getting a better draw in the quarter finals. Let’s get stuck into the stats and find some value tips.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

01:00 Bolivia v Argentina: Argentina (-2)

Bolivia have had a terrible tournament and have been tormented by their opponents. Your heart would kind of go out to them here, facing the second favourites in their final match after being pretty much a punch bag for all of the other teams so far. They’ve lost all three of their matches, conceding six goals and scoring just one.

Argentina have won two of their games, drawing the other one. They currently top Group A on seven points, but they are going to be eager to reach 10 points here and ensure they get their best draw for the next round of matches.

Bolivia’s record over their last five games has seen them win one, draw one and lose three. Argentina have won two and drawn three of their last five. Meanwhile, the teams have faced each other six times over the last six years with Argentina winning five, Bolivia one.

The Argentines have won four of those five without conceding a goal and indeed put a total of 19 goals past Bolivia over those six games. This one is only going one way and that’s a big win for Lionel Scaloni’s men.

01:00 Uruguay v Paraguay: Both Teams to Score

Uruguay finally won a game in their last match. They’ve been pretty lacklustre so far in the tournament and even that victory was only 2-0 over an out-of-sorts Bolivia, so it’s not exactly something they’ll be shouting from the rooftops. Saying that, they needed the win and had been on a run of five without a success, another win here could see them finishing second – ensuring a favourable draw for the quarter-finals in the process.

Paraguay have won two and lost one of their first three Group A games and over their five most previous games have won two, drawn one and lost two. The sides have only met four times over the last six years, with both teams picking up a win apiece and the other two ending level.

Uruguay have struggled for goals of late, but have looked sharper over their last two games and in their seven matches prior to the tournament they had scored a healthy nine goals. Paraguay have five goals to their name over their three tournament matches, and scored six over their seven most recent before the Copa America.

The nations have nothing to lose here, and both will be gunning for the three points to secure a better finishing position in the group. Paraguay have been good in front of goal so far in the tournament and should be good for one here. Uruguay are finally looking like themselves again, and with the firepower in their team it’s hard to see them not getting at least one here.
