While most eyes in the UK on Friday will be on Wembley for the Euro 96 rematch between England and Scotland at Wembley, the other game in Group D takes place at Hampden Park with Croatia tackling the Czech Republic.
After Patrik Schick’s two goals – including THAT wonderstrike from halfway – in Glasgow on Monday, the Czechs know a draw will probably be enough to book their place in the knockouts with four points.

For Croatia, an improvement is required after an underwhelming showing against England last weekend. The 2018 World Cup runners-up never looked a major threat to the Three Lions and Luka Modric and co will be hoping to get their campaign back on track at Scottish football’s HQ.

Having made Scotland look foolish on Monday, we’re backing the Leverkusen striker to trouble the Czech keeper at least once here. Schick had five shots on target against the Scots and now has an average of 3.33 shots on target per 90mins in the cheat sheet stats.
Ivan Perisic 1+ shots on target
Croatia offered very little against England but we’re expecting a bit more success against lesser opponents here. Perisic will be looking to cut in from the left-wing and get a few shots off. The Inter Milan forward averages just under one shot on target per match and will also get shooting opportunities from free-kicks.
Czech Republic win or draw
Croatia have dropped off massively since their appearance in the World Cup final. They are an ageing side (only two of their XI against England were under 25) and really don’t look up to much. The Croats have just two victories in their last ten games and the Czechs can grab a result to secure their progression to the last 16.
Over 1.5 Croatia cards
They are a feisty bunch and have picked up at least two cards in all their last 14 competitive matches. Spanish ref C.D.C Grande doesn’t shy away from a booking either, averaging five per game in La Liga last season.
