Ukraine and North Macedonia both suffered defeat in their opening Euro 2020 Group C matches but neither disgraced themselves. Ukraine went down 3-2 to The Netherlands while North Macedonia lost 3-1 to Austria.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
It’s going to be tough for either of these to seize a top two spot now and finishing as one of the best third-placed teams might be their route to the knockouts. Here’s Emmet to unravel your path to punting success for Thursday’s early kick off.
Thursday 2pm: Ukraine v North Macedonia
I think it’s an interesting game. Ukraine lost to The Netherlands 3-2 and they were outplayed for long stretches of the game but also their goalkeeper was at fault for all three goals. They did enough to impress me and make me think that they can beat his North Macedonia team who were decent against Austria, but were ultimately beaten.

Ukraine’s price to win the match doesn’t make that much appeal so I’m going to back Ukraine to Win and Both Teams to Score. Ukraine have played nine competitive matches since the start of 2020 and have only kept one clean sheet in those matches. I can see them having too much for North Macedonia but I think they’ll find the net and it’ll finish 2-1 or 3-1 to Ukraine.
