We had stayed short on Italy in the outright market before kick-off because we expected them to hit the ground running. If you look at them under Roberto Mancini, he’s really got a cohesive unit there will everyone playing well which is very hard to achieve sometimes in international football.
That’s the difference when it comes to international tournaments. It sounds funny but the sides who actually look like teams do the best in international tournaments and Italy certainly looked like that the other night. If you look at their last nine games in particular, this is why I’m going for Italy to Win to Nil.
They’ve won the last nine games and they’ve won them to Nil. Simple as that. Switzerland, they were a bit better than I expected against Wales and they carried a bit of a threat but, based on what I’ve seen with Italy, them to Win to Nil really is the best bet I can give to anyone watching this game.
Wednesday 8pm: Italy v Switzerland

For a goal scorer we’re going with Ciro Immobile and the reason I’m tipping him up is that most bookmakers will think he’s going to be on penalties and have him shorter than what we’ll have him for be the first goalscorer.
He does take the spot-kicks for Lazio and I think a few seasons ago he scored 14 penalties or something ridiculous like that. He won’t be on penalties for Italy. I can give you that information now.
That’s why we can give you what I think is still a really good price on Immobile to Score First. If you looked at him the other night, he’ll play in that central role in the front three and he could have had a couple of other goals but he did get off the mark.
Come the end of the tournament if Italy want to win it, or even if they just go well in it you’ll almost be talking about Immobile the same way we talk about Salvatore Schillaci. He’ll have that kind of a tournament. Immobile to Score First is a good price and will be better than what you get with most bookmakers.
