England are 11/2 second favourites with Paddy Power to win the European Championship ahead of this evening’s big kick off.

The Three Lions will hope to stop the years of hurt count at 55 and could be inspired by the return of fans to stadiums with Wembley hosting the semi-finals and final… or not.

New to Paddy Power?

England need to progress from the Group D before they start dreaming about silverware and if they top the pool they’ll face the runner-up from the Group of Death in the last 16 which contains the tournament favourites.

5/1
England Winner

World Cup winners France are available at 9/2 with Paddy Power to get their hands on the European Championship trophy this summer.

Didier Deschamps’ lads are hoping to double up having conquered all before them in Russia in 2018 but the decision to bring Karim Benzema back into the fold after a six-year absence has raised eyebrows.

They’ve been pitched alongside reigning European champions Portugal, 2014 World Cup champs Germany and, er, Hungary in Group F.

9/2
France Winner

Belgium head into the tournament sitting pretty at the top of FIFA’s world rankings and boast the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku in their squad.

The Red Devils are 13/2 to go the whole way and have a winnable group containing Denmark, Russia and Finland. If they top Group B then a last-16 clash with one of the third-placed lucky losers lies in wait.

6/1
Belgium Winner

Spain were all the rage at the start of the last decade when they managed the World Cup and European Championship double but they’ve struggled at international tournaments since with the ageing process getting their golden generation.

Poland, Sweden and Slovakia aren’t the most difficult opposition in Group E and La Roja can currently be backed at 15/2 to become the champions of Europe once again.

15/2
Spain Winner

Euro 2021 Winner Tips

Paddy’s football tipster Andrew Cunneen has offered up early selections for glory at this summer’s tournament including his best bet, dark horse and one to avoid.

BEST BET: ITALY

“Italy have a group with Turkey, Wales and Switzerland with each of those being at home in Rome. If they win their group, they’ll play either Ukraine, Austria or North Macedonia in the first knockout round.

“They’ve got a prolific goalscorer in Ciro Immobile, the right blend of youth and experience, along with one of the best goalkeepers in the world. They are my idea of a perfect winner.”

13/2
Italy Winner

DARK HORSE: CROATIA

“They’re in there with Scotland and the Czechs, as well as England who are liable to combust at any given moment. Not to mention the last time those sides met in a high stakes game, by the way.

“And being runner-up in their group actually lands you an easier tie in the last 16. They’d likely face one of Sweden, Poland or Slovakia if they finish behind England – or face one of Portugal, France or Germany.”

45/1
Croatia Winner

AVOID: GERMANY

“The longest-standing issue with Germany is their lack of a true goalscorer.

“I’m in better form when my mother-in-law comes around than Timo Werner is right now. They’ve got plenty of threats from wide areas, but lack a bit of pace in their back four. Everything feels like it goes through Joshua Kimmich but if he’s off, they’re off.”

8/1
Germany Winner
