United are favourites, it’s as simple as that. They’ll probably be odds on at kick off. The last four meetings between these sides ended 0-0, all from Champions League groups stages in 2005 and 2008. Lets hope we don’t see a repeat and actually get a few goals this time!

Villarreal to Lift the Cup

We always want to give punters the analysis and insight to make an informed bet. I am a United fan but when giving tips it will always be with the head over the heart. Listening to the head, Villarreal are the value mainly because markets have not fully accounted for the impact of United missing Harry Maguire.

Maguire is named in the squad for the Europa League Final, but I’d be very surprised if he starts. With that in mind, the price on Villarreal to lift the cup is the value bet. Their boss Unai Emery has won this cup already several times and therefore will know how to direct this Villarreal side in the build-up and on the night to get the maximum performance from his team.

If Villarreal play the way they should, then their price is just too big. Especially given United’s defensive issues without Maguire.

Gerard Moreno To Score Anytime

Gerard Moreno is Villarreal’s main man with 23 goals in La Liga this season including 10 penalties (and we all know it’s always nice if your goal scorer bet is the man on penalties). He plays on right hand side of a front three, and therefore is lethal at cutting in from the right and firing off shots with his deadly left.

The concern is that with Maguire (as United’s left sided centre back) missing, there will be more opportunity, and likewise more success, for Moreno when executing this kind of move. United also very vulnerable in general from cross and set-pieces, even more so with Maguire out.

Moreno is not the biggest, but he did cause problems in the air in the first leg against Arsenal. He wasn’t quite tall enough to connect fully with a corner but still got a enough of a head on it and the ball made it’s way to Raul Albiol to tap in at back post.

The point here is that Moreno will find space in the box to get on the end of crosses as well. With this kind of all round threat, and with him being on penalties too, it really makes Moreno a great bet for anytime goal scorer. It’s also worth a look in any Bet Builders for player ‘Shots’ or ‘Shots on Target’.

Remember you do not always have to have a bet. Please remember to gamble safely and to support those who need it.
