This one is a short price, but I’m going for Aston Villa to find the net at anytime when they host Manchester United on Sunday. The reason is that United were just not good enough defensively against Roma in the second half on Thursday night.
With the postponement of the Liverpool game last Sunday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now has a huge headache when it comes to squad rotation as The Red Devils face into six games in just 17 days. United have had issues in the back line all season and with rotation now needed, Villa can take advantage of that uncertainty.
Jack Grealish is still out through injury, and that may steer you away from backing Villa-positive markets. In the first six games where Grealish was missing, Dean Smith’s side only managed three goals. However, in the last five games without their star man, Villa have netted nine times and they look to have figured out how to score with Grealish out of the team.
I fully expect Aston Villa to bag at least one in the 90-plus minutes here.
This is a massive game for West Ham who have four games left and can get to 70 points if they win them all. On average over the last five seasons, 71 points has been enough to get you into the Champions League. So, they could just about sneak into the top four if they can take advantage of their favourable run in.
Everton have lost direction in the last few weeks, losing to Villa and Burnley, while also drawing with Crystal Palace and Brighton. But, this is probably the biggest matches West Ham have had in years and it’s crucial that they secure the three points.
They’ve got enough in them to see off a stuttering Toffees outfit.
Unfortunately, I don’t see life getting better for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal on Sunday as they welcome West Brom to the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners just can’t get their best players fully fit at this key stage of the season and you saw that as they were forced to take Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang off when they desperately needed a goal against Villarreal on Thursday night. They also had to play a clearly struggling Kieran Tierney in that game.
The Baggies come into this contest bouncing, with only one defeat in their last five games and have scored an eye-catching 11 goals in those matches. With Arsenal down in the dumps, I’m tipping the Double Chance of West Brom winning and the draw.
