The oldest derby in Italian football takes place on Sunday night and while Inter have already been awarded the league title, both sides could do with the win here to help cement their place in next season’s Champions League.

These teams are in pretty good form, but Milan have only won one Serie A match away to Juve since 2011. The Old Lady are obviously favourites here, but can Milan cause a shock? Let’s have a look for the three selections for what will be the 194th meeting between these two giants of Italian football.

Juventus to Win & Both Teams to Score

Juventus’ are in fine form recently, they’ve won three of their last five in the league, drawing and losing one apiece. Their home form is outstanding though, of their last 11 home Serie A fixtures they’ve won 10, losing just one. Milan have won three of their last five in the league, losing the other two. Their away form is impressive too, they’ve only lost two of their last 23 away meetings in the Serie A.

Juve’s home record against Milan is swinging it here for us though, of their last eight meetings in all competitions they’ve won seven – with one ending in a draw. The Old Lady have the home form and the superior firepower to their name here. But, don’t be surprised to see Milan get on the scoreboard here too.

Andrea Pirlo

Cristiano Ronaldo To Score Anytime

It’s hard to look beyond Cristiano Ronaldo here in the goalscoring market. While the odds on Alvaro Morato and Paulo Dybala are tempting, the Portuguese man just has the superior stats here. Morato has just nine league goals this season, Although he’s found a bit of form of late it must be said, and has scored two in four previous meetings against Milan.

Dybala has only scored three league goals this season, but has a total of eight in 19 against Milan. Ronaldo though has 27 league goals in 30 appearances this season and a total of six goals in 13 career appearances against Milan. With him on penalties as well, we just can’t ignore him here.

Both Teams To Score In The Second Half

Milan have only been kept scoreless in two of those 23 away matches mentioned above, and Juventus have conceded in all five of their most recent home games. The majority of their goals have been coming in the second half too; 54.9% in fact and 15 in 16 on their travels.

Juventus have also been doing most of their goalscoring in the second period as well, 61.2% and they have scored a total of 23 in 17 on home soil in the second half.
