It’s the big one, Manchester United v Liverpool at 4.30pm on Sunday and Paddy’s football ambassador Phil Thompson can hardly contain himself. You know United must be in good form because the Kop idol is NOT predicting a Liverpool win.
It should be a cracking game though and Liverpool have to go for it with a top four place on the line. So what’s Thommo saying for the latest renewal of one of football’s oldest rivalries?
I think this is the biggest game in world football. Yes, you’ve got Real Madrid v Barcelona but this game’s always massive. As you know over there in Ireland there is so much rivalry between the two teams.
I hope, as a Liverpool fan, I hope the Manchester United team that turned up in the first half against Roma turns up against Liverpool because I couldn’t recognise them. But wow! What a second half against Roma. Absolutely wiped them away.
But should we have been surprised at the great comeback kings? That is that they’re like. They’re unbeaten in the Premier League in 13, winning five of their last six. They are on a hot streak, playing really well. They’ve conceded just three goals in their last eight Premier League games.
Sunday 4.30pm: Manchester United v Liverpool Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
As we say, the best comeback record, 28 points they’ve gained from losing positions. It’s quite astonishing for Manchester United. But, as we know, they’re venerable at home. That is where, at least, Liverpool have been quite good. Liverpool need to win this game very, very much.
They’ve scored only four first-half goals in their last 18 Premier League games, Liverpool, but they’re unbeaten in four away games and have won the last three. I’m going for a Draw. I think Liverpool will turn up. I think this has flipped because for so long Manchester United would have played Liverpool and everyone would have been talking about Liverpool being champions or top of the league.
The roles are reversed. Now it’s Liverpool chasing Manchester United in the league table. I think Liverpool players will be rolling their sleeves up. Hopefully, after Manchester United’s big win, Liverpool will be ready for them.
Football Tips: Thommo predicts 11/1 goals galore score for Man Utd v Liverpool
Thommo's in fine fettle ahead of what is, in his opinion, the biggest game in world football.

THOMMO’S TIPS: I am going for a score draw, 2-2, and on both sides you’ve got to go for Bruno Fernandes to Score Anytime for Manchester United and Mo Salah to Score Anytime for Liverpool.
