Football Tips: Our 24/1 acca for Saturday evening’s Euro games

Time for a quick trip across Europe's top competitions....

Borussia Dortmund v Holstein Kiel – Both Teams to Score: Yes

Holstein Kiel are on a fairytale run to the semi-final of the German Cup having already accounted for the giants of Bayern Munich in a previous round, meaning they won’t be too intimidated by their more illustrious opponents here.

They’ve also been putting together results in the league this year, and are still in with a shout of gaining promotion to the Bundesliga, though a Covid outbreak has curtailed their chances recently.

Meanwhile, Dortmund’s form has picked up recently, winning four straight, the last of which was away at Wolfsburg and lifts them to within one point of fourth and two points of third, meaning a Champions League spot can still be salvaged from this bumpy season.

As can a cup. The league should be a priority for Edin Terzic’s side, but a Cup final would be welcome too. They are likely to rotate some players, especially with Jude Bellingham and Mahmoud Dahoud suspended here, but if it’s tight the likes of Haaland and Sancho should feature to put them through in 90 minutes.

Still, the chopping and changing should encourage Kiel, and Dortmund’s defence can be leaky, so BTTS looks a reasonable shout.

AC Milan v Benevento – Milan to lead at 20 minutes

The Rossoneri have slipped out of the top four in Serie A after two consecutive defeats. In fact, their form since January has really cost them – all seven of their Serie A defeats this season have come since the turn of the year.

They’ve lost three and drawn one in their last seven league games, and have lost the second-half of all those game to nil, a worrying trend for their Champions League prospects.

Serie A – Saturday, 7:45pm

However, their home form has been strong, especially against teams in the lower half of Serie A. They’ve won 6, drawn 4 and opened the scoring in five of those wins in the first half.

Their opponents also have a habit of conceding early, allowing ten opening goals within 15 minutes of the start of their games this season, including last week’s 4-2 loss to Udinese, which left them 18th in the standings. You could look at Milan to Lead at 30 minutes, which is priced around evens, but we’ll look for a bit more juice by backing them to lead after 20.

Real Madrid v Osasuna – Real Madrid to win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0

Real Madrid come into this off a tough, rain-soaked night in the Champions League which could’ve gone worse against Chelsea if Timo Werner found his shooting boots, but still leaves them with an uphill challenge on Wednesday night next week.

Their eyes might be focussed on that tonight against Osasuna, but whether the Basques are bothered trying to take advantage of it is the question. Solidly midtable, their La Liga status is secure and they’re little really to play for in the remaining games.

They’ve also a terrible history head-to-head with Los Blancos, losing ten of the last 13 and drawing three times., conceding over 3 goals per game on average in that run.

Their defensive record against top-four sides in La Liga is just as bad, while Madrid, despite missing Sergio Ramos, has kept a clean sheet in their four games prior to the Chelsea game.

This should be a Madrid win, and they’ll probably take the foot off the pedal if they get a lead, so Madrid 1-0, 2-0, or 3-0 appeals.

Lille v Nice – Both Teams to Score: Yes

Lille are top of the French league and doing their best to upset the vastly better-resourced giants from Paris – four more wins and they are unlikely Ligue 1 champions.

It could be a struggle though. Their margin for error is just one point, and their home form in recent times has slackened, with just one win at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in their last five games.

Ligue 1 – Saturday, 8pm

BT Sport 3

Their opponents this evening have lost just twice in their last nine games and are coming into this game after a stirring fightback from 1-0 down to beat Montpellier 3-1 last time out.

They’ve also shown they can mix it with the big boys in that run, beating Marseille 3-0 recently and have goals in their forward line, so both teams getting on the scoresheet looks worth it at the prices.

These four bets combined payout at over 24/1
