There’s some big games taking place all across the continent tonight from the Premier League to the Pokal. We’ve got a one-sided looking semi-final in Germany and a big game in the race for the top four in England.
It’s a tight-looking clash between Celta Vigo and Levante in La Liga while Marseille will be looking to keep their improved form rolling at home to Strasbourg. So, with money to be made, let’s get into it.
RB Leipzig are big favourites to beat Werder Bremen in the first DFB Pokal semi final tonight. RB boss Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed he’s off to Bayern Munich next season and, with the title looking a long way off, this is his best chance to sign off with silverware.
Leipzig are not in outstanding form but Werder are in disarray. Bremen have lost seven on the bounce and will be more worried about maintaining their Bundesliga status than winning this competition. RB are the better side in the better form and it would be a big surprise if we saw anything other than a Leipzig Win inside the 90 minutes here.
Leicester have one foot in the Champions League and they can take another big step towards a top four finish with a win against a struggling Southampton side. The Foxes are 3rd in the Premier League with a seven-point cushion to West Ham in 5th.
Friday 8pm: Southampton v Leicester Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League
Southampton have lost four of their last five, winning just twice in the last 15, avoiding defeat on just three occasions in that run. Brendan Rodgers’ boys are better away from home and we should see a comfortable Leicester Win in this one.
It’s been a poor campaign for this talented Marseille side but they still have realistic hopes of salvaging something out of this season. They’re one point behind Lens who occupy the final Europa League spot and have started coming into form recently.
Friday 8pm: Marseille v Strasbourg BT Sport 3
Strasbourg are all-but mathematically safe from the drop and sit in 15th position. They’ve taken just four points from their last six games, though. With Marseille claiming victory in five of the last seven we have to be with a Home Win here.
A mid-table La Liga clash rounds off our Friday night acca as 10th-placed Celta Vigo host Levante in 12th. Celta are by no means setting the league alight but they look to be in lethal form compared to Levante.
Friday 8pm: Celta Viga v Levante LaLigaTV and Freesports
The away side here have lost five of the last six and are coasting towards their summer holidays. Celta have at least picked up seven points in their last five games so, with them at home and in better nick, Celta Vigo to Win is our final selection on Friday night.
These selections in an acca-insured four fold will give you odds around 7/1 with Paddy Power.
