For Sunday’s footballing action we’re taking in a few different leagues in our search for value. We’ll be looking at both the relegation and Play-Off places in the Championship, we’ll be off to Germany to see if Borussia Dortmund can move closer to securing Champions League football for next season.

We’ll also be checking in on the Italian title race where Inter face a tough test away to Napoli. Lastly, we’ll take in France and Spain, where both Lyon and Real Madrid can close the gap on Lille and Atletico Madrid respectively. Let’s have a look then at what value we’ve found.

12:00 Rotherham v Birmingham: Birmingham Draw No Bet

Rotherham still have enough games to save themselves between now and the end of the season, but their lack of goals of late – failing to score in four of their last five fixtures and that could mean their fate may already be sealed. They have to start scoring and quickly. Birmingham find themselves six points above the relegation zone, but having played two more games than Rotherham in the final relegation spot and they could do with the three points here too.

Their form has improved of late though. Lee Bowyer’s team has lost just one of their last five in the Championship and are unbeaten over their last four visits to The New York Stadium. The Blues have now either won or drawn four out of their last five, while the home side have won just one of their seven home matches. We’re liking the price of Birmingham Draw No Bet here.

14:30 Borussia Dortmund v Werder Bremen: Dortmund to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Dortmund are short odds favourites to win here, but looking at their form they’ve only won one of their last five in all competitions. Bremen are no better, they’ve also just won one of their last five. As per usual with Dortmund though, their recent home matches have seen loads of goals.

Four of their last five home Bundesliga matches have seen Over 2.5 goals and Overs has also happened in three of Werder’s five most recent Bundesliga matches. Dortmund are averaging 2.15 home Bundesliga goals, while Werder are averaging 1.29 on their league travels. We’re going with Dortmund to Win & Over 2.5 Goals here.

15:00 Coventry v Barnsley: Both Teams to Score

Coventry got an incredibly important win away from home mid-week against Rotherham and it could well be seen as the game that saved their Championship status. So long as the rest of the season goes as expected that is. Five points separate Barnsley in the final Play-Off place from the rest of the chasing pack, but they’ll be eager to get the points here and try to cement their Playoff place.

The Tykes are now unbeaten over their last seven away Championship matches, winning six of them. Coventry’s home record has improved of late, winning three of their last five, while losing and drawing one each. Barnsley rarely keep a clean sheet on their travels though, and with Coventry finding some form at the right time, they should get at least one.

Antonio Conte Inter Milan Benevento Serie A September 30, 2020

19:45 Napoli v Inter: Over 2.5 Goals

Inter have one hand on the Serie A crown and barring a total capitulation, they’ll be lifting their 19th title come the end of May. Over their five most recent meetings in all competitions, Inter have beaten Napoli three times, drawing and losing one.

Looking at just Serie A matches played in Napoli though, Napoli have won three, Inter have triumphed in one and one ended level. Meanwhile, four of those five matches saw Over 2.5 goals. Napoli have netted a very healthy 12 goals over their last five home league matches, Inter have scored 10. With both teams in good goal-scoring form that Overs trend should continue here.

20:00 Nantes v Lyon: Both Teams to Score No Draw

With just six games to go, including this one, Lyon must win here to stay up with the top three above them. Just five points separate them from league leaders Lille, so they have to go all out here. Nantes are fighting for their Ligue Un survival, but it must be noted that they’ve only won two home league matches all season.

They have been scoring though, and have found the net in at least one in six of their last seven home matches. With both teams desperate for the points, and with good scoring records, we’re going with Both Teams to Score No Draw here.

20:00 Getafe v Real Madrid: Real Madrid to Win

Getafe haven’t won any of their last five matches, drawing three and losing two. Real Madrid are enjoying a La Liga run that has seen them go unbeaten over their last 10 matches – winning eight and drawing two.

They’ve won five of their last six meetings against Getafe as well and with just a point between them and Atletico Madrid at the top of the table, a win here would put them top if Atletico don’t beat Eibar earlier in the day. Real should succeed pretty comfortably here and we’re backing them to do so.
