Arminia Bielefeld v Freiburg: BTTS – Yes
You might remember back in February Arminia Bielefeld nearly landing a massive shock against Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. They were 2-0 up against the European Champions before conceding late on to draw 3-3.
In five of their last six meetings with Freiburg both teams have got on the score sheet, so this game seems a perfect fit to kick off our acca.
Watford v Reading: BTTS – Yes
Watford come into this game having won their last four on the bounce. They are also very strong at Vicarage Road, winning each of their last six league games. Reading, however, may land a glove here. They are going for the league double over Watford having beaten them 1-0 earlier in the season.
They also have scored at least once in each of their last eight games in the Championship. Watford have 12 goals in their last 12 matches and in Ismaila Sarr have a real goal threat from out wide. The Senegalese winger has 11 goals this season.
The visitors beat Wayne Rooney’s Derby 3-1 last time out, and should be able to land a glove here. I fancy both teams to score in this one.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
Metz v Lille: BTTS – No
Lille sit at the summit of the French top flight and proved their title credentials with a 1-0 win at PSG last weekend to go three points clear. They have been brilliant on their travels as well this season winning eight of their last nine away matches in the league.
Lille’s success this year has been built on their defensive rock and they’ve managed to keep six clean sheets in their last seven on the road in Ligue 1. Metz have only managed to score once in their last three games in all competitions and the drought could continue here against a well organised Lille side. Both teams to score – No looks the way to play this one.
Fulham v Wolves: BTTS – No
A lack of firepower and goals has really left its mark on both of these sides. Fulham were leading 1-0 against Aston Villa until the 77th minute last weekend when a late collapse saw them throw away three valuable points in the race to beat the drop. Scott Parker’s men are now the favourites for the drop.
They are three points from safety but are chasing a Newcastle side in 17th who have a game in hand. I expect a nervy performance from the home side and I don’t see a lot of goals in this potentially cagey affair. Wolves have never really recovered from the loss of their main man upfront Raul Jimenez. They have found scoring goals tough this season and have played beneath their potential for large spells.
Fabio Silva and Willian Jose have tried their best to keep this Wolves team firing but in reality only have three goals between them in a Wolves shirt. I fear Fulham could cancel out a blunt under-performing Wolves team, so am siding with both teams not to score in this one.
