Leicester (+1)

Manchester City have recovered remarkably well since their surprise defeat to Manchester United at the beginning of March, winning each of their last two league games by a three-goal margin and securing a semi-final berth in the FA Cup in addition to a place in the last-eight of the Champions League. Any faint hopes opposition fans had of a title implosion are now well and truly over now and City can begin to focus on their involvement in three other competitions in earnest.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

This is a crucial month for City’s quadruple hopes and Pep Guardiola will have to be shrewd about he uses his squad. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Guardiola rested players on Saturday and Leicester are in an excellent position to pounce.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are in more need of a result than City and have recovered from a mini-slump at the end of February to put themselves in the driving seat in the race for Champions League qualification. Their emphatic 3-1 FA Cup win over United prior to the international break was the icing on the cake and they have the tools to damage United’s cross-city rivals so Leicester (+1) looks tempting.

Kelechi Iheanacho to score any time

The former City striker has found form at just the right time from Leicester’s perspective and could continue his hot streak against his former employers on Saturday evening. Iheanacho’s career had been a story of unfulfilled promise, but his recent form indicates that he still has what it takes to be one of the best in the league one day.

At a time when Jamie Vardy’s record in front of goal is unusually poor, Iheanacho has scored seven in his last four games to keep Leicester’s hopes alive on two fronts.

His two goals against United proved to be the difference in the FA Cup quarter final, while he also scored crucial goals against Burnley and Brighton in the league.

His hattrick against Sheffield United was an added bonus. He can continue his excellent form against City on Saturday night with Iheanacho Scoring Anytime.

Both teams to score

City have undeniably been the best defensive side in the league this season. John Stones and Ruben Dias have been head and shoulders above every centre back in the division, while Joao Cancelo looks like a shoe-in at right back in the PFA Team of the Season. Their record speaks for itself. City have conceded the fewest number of goals in the league, while they have also recorded the most clean sheets.

However, a few cracks have started to appear in the City defence over the past five games. Pep Guardiola’s side have conceded six goals in their last five league games, including two against both Manchester United and Southampton at home.

In comparison, they conceded six goals in 18 games prior to that five-game run. Dias, Stones, and Cancelo have all made uncharacteristic errors in recent games and Leicester have the players to capitalise on similar mistakes on Saturday.

At the other end, City boast the best attack in the league and have scored in every away game since a 0-0 draw with Manchester United at the beginning of December. As good as Leicester are, there is little chance that they will keep City at bay for 90 minutes with Both Teams Scoring.

Raheem Sterling to have one or more shot on target

Sterling has endured a disappointing season compared to the standards he set over the three previous seasons, but it is not for want of trying. The English winger has taken 53 shots in 25 Premier League appearances this season at a rate of just over two a game.

However, he has only managed to find the back of the net on nine occasions this year, scoring once in every five shots or thereabouts. He has managed to find the target on 24 occasions and statistically hits the target once every 90 minutes. He will hope to warm the palms of Kasper Schmeichel at least once on Saturday with one or more shot on target for Sterling.
