7pm: Huddersfield v Birmingham

I’m putting Huddersfield v Birmingham down as the banker to get our Both Teams To Score bet off to a winning start. Huddersfield have only won one out of their last ten games, whereas the away side have won three out of their last ten. Clearly neither side in red hot form going into this one so.

However, the last four head to heads at The John Smith’s Stadium have finished 1-1 and eight of the last nine head to heads where Huddersfield have hosted, have also seen the both teams to score (BTTS) land.

A crucial bottom half of the table meeting between the sides here, which will hopefully result in plenty of goals on offer.

7pm: Cardiff v Derby

Cardiff v Derby looks another solid play to add to the bet. It’s eighth versus eighteenth in this encounter, however you wouldn’t think it going on both teams’ current form.

The home side having registered six wins from their last seven. Meanwhile The Rams have also managed six wins from their last nine matches. The last four times these teams have met both teams scored and both teams netted in nine of the last 13 head to heads in total.

Throw into the mix that Derby have scored in their last two away games & Cardiff have scored in their last two matches the stats certainly lean me to a BTTS bet again here.

7pm: Coventry V Middlesbrough

Three winners are usually enough for me but I’m going to push the boat out, and take a chance on both teams scoring in the Coventry v Middlesbrough match. Coventry have been a bit goal shy lately, netting in only three of their last six games and sit only a few points clear of relegation.

The stats clearly point to a both teams to score bet here though. Both teams have scored in five of the last seven head to heads and Middlesbrough have been consistently scoring on the road having netted in seven of their last eight away games. Let’s hope Mark Robins’ Sky Blues can squeeze out a goal to fill our bet.

8pm: Reading v Blackburn

Reading v Blackburn is another strong fancy of mine. In the last eight head to heads at all venues there has been a total of 36 goals scored which is a tasty average of 4.5 goals per game.

There were at least three goals scored in each of those eight games and the both teams to score bet clicked in all eight games. On a cautionary note, in the last four matches Reading have contested, only one team has scored. I’ll take a chance that that sequence will be broken on Tuesday night based on the respective head to head statistics.

Remember to keep it fun and only bet within your means.

Am I playing this Acca myself? The answer is an absolute yes! I can’t be doing all this stats study without throwing a fiver at it myself. Be lucky!
