It’s all gone wrong for Bournemouth. They’ve won just twice in the last 10, against Birmingham (21st) and Rotherham (22nd) and face a tough test against Watford in Saturday’s early game with the Hornets well and truly buzzing.

Xisco’s side have failed to win on just four occasions over the 12 games he’s been in charge since the end of December. They are coming into this one high in confidence and 3rd in The Championship while their hosts have slipped out of the playoffs and are down to 7th.

Watford to Win

You simply cannot look past a Watford Win in Saturday’s early televised Championship game. As outlined above they’re in great form and have now won four on the bounce coming into this game.

Bournemouth are all at sea under interim boss Jonathan Woodgate and while it is not beyond the realms of possibility that they get something from this game you have to be with Watford. It’s a decent price to have as an outright bet and a must if you’re looking for an acca this weekend.

Both Teams To Score

There should be goals in this one. Watford had been watertight up until recently but they’ve become increasingly leaky, letting in three in their last two after going three games without conceding. They have scored 11 in their last four games, as well.

The Cherries have scored in their last three, winning one 1-0 before consecutive 2-1 losses. Both Teams to Score has landed in both of these two’s last two and will be a good play in this game.

Joao Pedro To Score First

Joao Pedro has opened the scoring in all three of Watford’s last three Championship outings. After a good start he had been a bit quiet up until a few weeks ago but he’s exploded back to life as we head towards the business end of the season.

He’s been handed penalty duty with Troy Deeney missing through injury and when a player is in form like this it’s well worth taking a chance. Given the run he’s on Joao Pedro to Score First is the only place to look in the goal scorer markets.

Saturday’s EFL acca

We’re back with another full found of EFL fixtures this weekend and here’s some suggestions for your Saturday acca from the Championship, League One and League Two 3pm games.

3pm: Middlesbrough v Cardiff – Cardiff to Win

I said during the week that Mick McCarthy has the Midas touch in south Wales and he proved it again, guiding 6th-placed Cardiff to their 6th straight win. He comes up against another wily old campaigner in Neil Warnock on Saturday. Is it 2012 or 2021?

Middlesbrough are doing okay and are 9th in The Championship with two wins from their last five. We’re backing mighty Mick to do it again and as long as Cardiff keep winning I’ll keep backing them. Cardiff to Win here at very appealing odds.

3pm: Swansea v Bristol City – Swansea to Win

Swansea are down to 4th but that’s only because they have two games in hand over every other club in the top seven. Steve Cooper’s men are putting a real automatic promotion charge together.

They tackle the free-falling Bristol City who are down to 12th but did some work to halt the slide last time out with a win as the fearsome Nigel Pearson starts knocking his new charges into shape after four straight losses. The new manager factor for Bristol City is a concern but it’s not enough to put me off tipping up a Swansea win here.

3pm: Peterborough v Wigan – Peterborough (-1)

Peterborough are bang on it and have now won five on the bounce on route to the top of the League One table. They face 22-placed Wigan who have won two of their last five and are just a point from safety.

Wigan can be a bit temperamental and you can never really tell when they’re going to roll over and when they’re going to put up a fight. Posh should easily be too good for Wigan and they’ve scored two or more in their last five so the value in this game is with Peterborough (-1) on the handicap. This is my NAP of the weekend.

3pm: Bolton v Barrow – Bolton to Win

Pre-season promotion favourites Bolton are finally getting their act together and host relegation-threatened Barrow this weekend. The Trotters are up to 9th on the back of four straight wins.

Barrow started alright but have drifted to 23rd and are a point from safety but have two games in hand over Southend in 22nd. They won last time out, stopping a run of four losses in a row, but Bolton should win here.
