19:45 Verona v Juventus: Both Teams To Score
Serie A – Premier Sports
Verona and Juventus trade tackles at the Stadio Bentegodi in the first match of our Saturday night treble. The hosts played out a 2-2 draw with Genoa in their most recent fixture last Friday, while Juventus were dominant in their 3-0 victory over Crotone as Cristiano Ronaldo starring with a first-half brace.
That victory saw Juve climb up to third in the table with 45 points from 22 games. Verona are fairly comfortable in mid-table, sitting in ninth position. There has been a total of 24 games between these sides and it’s no surprise Juventus have come out on top 15 times, with six draws and Verona only winning three.
The last three times these sides have met, we’ve seen a win for either side, with a draw last time in October. I expect there will be goals in this one and don’t be surprised if there’s at least one for the great man Ronaldo too.
20:00 Newcastle v Wolves: Both Teams to Score and The Draw
Premier League – Sky Sports Main Event
There could be fireworks when Newcastle United and Wolverhampton go head-to-head at St James’ Park. Newcastle are on a poor run, with only two wins and a draw from there last 10. Wolves have won two on-the-spin and have taken 10 points from the last 12 available.
Three points would be massive for Newcastle’s survival prospects and the Magpies will look at taking the game to Wolves with home advantage in their favour. However, this will likely lead to Newcastle leaving plenty of space behind for Wolves’ pacy forwards such as Adama Traore and Pedro Neto to take advantage of.
The last five Premier League encounters between these two sides have seen both teams score and the same outcome is expected here, regardless of who comes out on top I fancy both sides to net and the match to finish in a draw.
20:00 Getafe v Valencia: Both Teams to Score & Valencia to win
La Liga – LaLigaTV
Only three points separate Valencia from Getafe ahead of this one at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez Stadium. Both have been inconsistent and will need a victory. Getafe have lost five of their last six games, while Valencia have won two of their last four – along with a draw and defeat.
Valencia have an excellent record against Getafe, winning 17 matches out of a total of 36 games played between the two. The previous meeting between the two took place in November and ended in a 2-2 draw. Both teams created several chances on the day and with Getafe suffering a couple of heavy defeats recently I expect Valencia to come out on top – but they won’t be keeping a clean sheet.
