Celtic boss Neil Lennon abruptly ended a telephone conversation with a local Chinese takeaway after refusing to answer their questions.
The 49-year-old made a late-night call to the Golden Palace in Glasgow’s West End shortly after Celtic’s 1-0 defeat to Ross County.
However, things quickly turned sweet and sour when counter staff asked the former Hoops midfielder what his order was.
‘Ava, I’m not going to answer any more questions’, Lennon snapped at Golden Palace stalwart Ava McCurry.
When the 54-year-old mother-of-four once again asked Lennon for his order, the Lurgan man replied, ‘I’ve already answered that’, before ending the call.
Discussing the incident with Paddy Power News, Ava told us:
‘As ye can tell, Neil’s na stranger tae a banana fritter and has rang us before’.
‘So I was shocked when he refused tae answer mah question.
‘I know they just got humped by Ross County but that’s na reason tae take it oot on us’.
When asked for her thoughts on Celtic’s defeat to The Staggies, Ava remarked:
‘We had the match on the telly in the restaurant and the maist entertaining part was when the stray dug bolted ontae the pitch.
‘They’ve been jobby fae set pieces all season’.
And, in a further development, Celtic last night confirmed they’ve made an approach to sign the stray dog that invaded the pitch.
It’s believed the 9-year-old Alsatian is seen as the ideal replacement for ageing midfielder Scott Brown.

Meanwhile, Paddy Power News understands Lennon also completely ruined “game night”’ when he refused to answer any questions during a family Zoom quiz.
The former Hibernian and Bolton Wanderers boss brought the much-cherished event to a standstill by repeatedly saying ‘no comment’ during his turns.
A source close to Lennon told us:
‘It took ages to get everyone on the meeting because Neil’s Wi-Fi went down more often Albian Ajeti in the penalty area’.
‘General knowledge, geography – even sport, the grumpy sod refused to answer any questions’.
‘Then he went on some foul-mouthed rant about the Scottish government, Andy Walker and Bill Gates before leaving the meeting’.
