Southampton v Chelsea

Chelsea are in good form under Thomas Tuchel. They drew their first game under him but since then they’ve won five on the spin. I tipped Timo Werner to score in Chelsea’s win against Newcastle and I noticed a big change in him after that game. It seemed like a different boy in front of the camera.

He seemed to have a lot more confidence, like he’s got the monkey off his back. After getting the goal against Newcastle I fancy him to score again at Southampton.

Also, what the heck has happened to Southampton? They’ve lost six on the bounce and you can’t really see them turning this one around. They’re not scoring enough goals and they’re conceding plenty too. It’s a really tough one for Ralph Hasenhuttl, who I think is a really good coach.

My mate Matt Le Tissier will be watching this one from behind the couch I’m sure! I’m going Chelsea to win 2-0 and Werner to score.

THOMMO’S TIP: Chelsea to win 2-0 and Timo Werner to score

Liverpool v Everton

What was the betting on this game going back a week ago after Liverpool lost at Leicester? Since then, Everton were beaten by Fulham and they looked absolutely hopeless. Liverpool won against RB Leipzig in an excellent performance in the Champions League.

Everton then lost again against Manchester City. They played better, yes, but the result was still the same. Liverpool’s record against Everton is phenomenal.

Sky Sports Main Event/Sky Sports Premier League

It’s at Anfield, Liverpool will be up for it, and I think the Reds will win it. However, I think it’ll be a goal-fest! Everton will be fired up. Their attitude was better against City than in their defeat against Fulham and they will be up for the derby.

One big thing for Everton is whether Calvert-Lewin is fit enough to play. Richarlison started up top against City and scored. I think he’ll get another goal against Liverpool. Liverpool will also have to be wary of Everton’s aerial threat at Anfield – and if Calvert-Lewin plays, it will need even more focus on it. I’m going for Liverpool to win 3-2 and Richarlison to score.

THOMMO’S TIP: Liverpool to win 3-2 and Richarlison to score

Thommo’s Double:

My double for Saturday is both Chelsea and Liverpool to win.
