5.30pm: Schalke v Borussia Dortmund
We have some cracking action on the continent Saturday night. We start off with Borussia Dortmund who are away to Schalke in the Rivierderby. We saw how good Dortmund were in the Champions League in midweek when they beat Sevilla in Andalucía 3-2.
It was the Erling Braut Haaland show with his two goals and an assist getting them over the line. He is like Roy of the Rovers (a fictional goalscoring genius from a comic book series in the 1970s for those not in the know!) – Haaland can do it all, and scores goals that kids dream about emulating in the playground.

The race for his signature over the next year or so will be another sport in itself…
Anyway back to the acca! Dortmund look to be back in form after their heroics on Spanish soil in midweek and face the worse Schalke side in recent memory. They lost to Dortmund 3-0 earlier in the season and have just one win to their name in the Bundesliga all season. They’ve also lost seven of their last 10 in all competitions. I just can’t see anything but a dominant routine win for Haaland, Sancho and Co. in this one.

7.45pm: Sassuolo V Bologna
The second leg comes from Seria A where it looks like we could be set for some goals in the clash between Sassuolo and Bologna.

There has been over 2.5 goals scored in the last six meetings between these sides, and amazingly there has been over 2.5 goals scored in eight of Sassuolo’s last 10 games in Serie A. It seems a good shout to expect more of the same in this game from the great entertainers!

8pm: Real Valladolid V Real Madrid
The final leg of the treble involves our old pals Real Madrid, who are away to Valladolid. This stands out as a good chance for Real Madrid to pick up the three points and the statistics seem to back that up. Real Valladolid are winless in their last six games following a decent run between November and the new year. Their form is now back to being inconsistent and they’ve failed to register a clean sheet in their last nine games in all competitions.
TV: Valladolid v Madrid – La Liga TV
Madrid come into the game in decent form having won four of their last five in La Liga. They lead the chasing pack in 2nd and are now six points behind their city rivals Atletico – although they have played a game more. Karim Benzema is looking sharp again too with five goals in his last seven in all competitions, and he’ll be a huge threat to the Valladolid rear-guard.
I think the visitors will have too much firepower for the home side and with two back-to-back clean sheets registered recently this one looks like a straight forward away win for me.
