Adrián has won Liverpool’s Goalkeeper of the Season award pipping Alisson, Karius and the club’s U13 goalie to the gong. The Spaniard was recognised for his amazingly mediocre campaign in which he made the least mistakes out of all of Liverpool’s goalkeepers.
The Anfield outfit handed out the award several months earlier than scheduled having witnessed another clanger from Alisson during their defeat to Leicester City.
“I hope to hold onto this award for a long time”, the 34-year-old told Paddy Power News shortly before dropping the trophy on his foot. “It’s an honour to be held in the same regard as the likes of Adam Bogdan, Chris Kirkland and Simon Mignolet”.

Meanwhile Jurgen Klopp believes the former West Ham No1 deserves all the plaudits headed his way having fought off some stiff competition this season.
“Of course, Alisson is in tremendous form having provided three assists in his last two games”, the 53-year-old German told Paddy Power News.
“But Adrián has shown he is more than capable of costing us the game with some individual moments of madness. What I particularly like about Adrián is his ability to be sh**e whether his feet are warm OR cold”.
When asked if he was willing to concede Liverpool’s title defence was over following their latest defeat, the former Borussia Dortmund boss said:
It was over the minute that little T-rex armed Mackem s**t Pickford jumped on Virgil.
However, a defiant Klopp insisted Liverpool still had plenty to play for and said his side would be concentrating on topping the net spend league once again.
“We know how much the net spend league means to the fans because we have started to see the old memes resurface on social media. Never mind the Premier League or the Champions League, the difference between money earned from player sales and the money spent on new recruits is what matters most to our supporters”.
