Saturday 3pm: Crystal Palace v Burnley

Looking at the match prices Palace are going to go off as favourites but Wilfried Zaha is not available for this game. I’m not looking at Palace, they’ve only two wins in six so I can’t back them at the price, going off as favourites.

You look at Burnley then and they’ve got two wins in seven so you’re cautious about getting involved there. They should still be OK in terms of relegation. I don’t think either of these will go down.

In terms of a bet for this game, what I’d suggest is Burnley Draw No Bet. You can put that in your Saturday acca. I can’t strongly suggest that you back either teams to win this game, though.

For a goal scorer, I think it’s going to be low scoring so I’d avoid Anytime and look for First Goalscorer value and the tip I’d put up at a big price is Ben Mee. Expect Burnley to get plenty of set pieces with corners and free-kicks and expect him to get on the end of a couple of them. So, for me, Ben Mee to Score First is the bet.

Saturday 8pm: Brighton v Aston Villa

Brighton are obviously on a bit of a run but their home record – they’ve still only won one home game this season. In fact, their last three home wins in the league have actually come in three different calendar years.

You can never guarantee that Brighton will do the job at home and we’ve seen the stats in terms of increased away wins in the Premier League. Brighton did actually win at Villa Park last time these two met. It was a bit of a controversial game and Villa were awarded a penalty in the last minute but it was overturned on VAR – in my opinion correctly.

Villa had the better of that game and I expect them to have the better of this one as well. So, for me, Villa to Win is a really good bet and would be one of my best bets this weekend.

Ollie Watkins is my pick to score here without a doubt. He’s scored four goals in his last five Premier League games so he’s in a bit of form and those goals that he’s scored happened to be the opener for Villa in each of those games as well. It’s a no brainer to back Ollie Watkins to Score First in this game.

Sunday 7pm: Everton v Fulham

Everton are going really well. The Premier League table has lied a lot this year, and the Toffees are three points off the top four but actually have two games in hand over most teams. If they win those two games, they would be level on points with Liverpool.

Everton are tipping along nicely whereas Fulham haven’t won since November. Their big issues is that from their 22 games in the league, they’ve only won two. They’ve drawn nine, which is the second-highest total – only Brighton have more.

But I think Everton can cope without Dominic Calvert-Lewin for this game, if he is not declared fit, and the Toffees to win at the current price is actually a really good bet.

If Calvert-Lewin doesn’t make it, Everton have brought in Josh King from Bournemouth and he has a very good Premier League record. He has 49 goals in about 160 appearances, so he can do it at this level. The Norwegian getting the first goal is a better bet than Richarlison at the same price so, if he starts, King to Score First is the bet I’d have.

Monday 6pm: West Ham v Sheffield United

West Ham are flying under David Moyes with 39 points already – that is exactly the same total they got in the whole of last season. I’ve looked at the West Ham price here and I think it’s wrong, so for me the value is with Sheffield United. The question is, how do you get with that value?

West Ham have only won three of their last seven home games, whereas Sheffield United have won three of their last six games so they’re starting to show a bit of fight. They might not stay up this season but they’re on a bit of a run, both in the league and the cup.

If you factor that in, the West Ham price is just too short for me – especially considering the doubts they have in a key position such as centre-back. Sheffield United Double Chance – Sheffield United and the Draw – or Sheffield United (+1) is value. I’m siding with the Blades to avoid defeat here.

If Billy Sharp starts, I would put him up in the First Goalscorer market. He has four goals in his last eight games and he’s been getting chances. He was unlucky against Chelsea, with his effort going just past the post, but he’s on penalties as well.
