Brighton have enjoyed a good spell of late and recent wins against the likes of Spurs and Liverpool have seen Graham Potter’s men move 10 points clear of the drop zone going into the weekend. The Seagulls have become hard to beat and are the stalemate specialists in the top flight with 10 draws so far.

Aston Villa are the latest visitors to the Seaside and have been one of the success stories of the season. They are unrecognisable from the side that stayed up by the skin of their teeth last term following promotion from the Championship via the play-offs.

They have an attack which has caused every team problems, with Jack Grealish, Ollie Watkins, Ross Barkley, Bertrand Traore and Anwar El Ghazi all playing some brilliant stuff for manager Dean Smith.

Here’s my Bet Builder tips for what could be a South Coast cracker.

Brighton v Aston Villa: Saturday, February 13
8pm: Sky Sports Main Event

The Amex Brighton Portsmouth League Cup

Aston Villa to Win

Villa have recorded some decent results on their travels this season, including wins at Arsenal, Wolves, Southampton and Leicester. They also were unlucky in defeat when losing in Manchester to both United and City having played superbly.

Villa away from home for me are more dangerous than they are at Villa Park and I fancy an away win here.

Ollie Watkins to Score Anytime

If you are looking for a goalscorer for Villa the in-form man is Ollie Watkins. The striker is loving life following his move to the Midlands and has netted four in his last five. If you want some extra value he’s the one to look at the in the First Goalscorer market too.

Under 2.5 Goals

Another market to look at is Under 2.5 goals. In Brighton’s last six games this bet has clicked. Under 2.5 goals looks a good price given that recent defensive solidity.

Jack Grealish 1 Or More Shots On Target

Villa talisman Jack Grealish has scored in four of the last five meetings between these two, and could well do the damage again. And even if the England man he can’t find a way past Robert Sanchez in the Brighton goal, he looks likely to test him with at least one effort on target in the 90 minutes.
