Manchester City (-2)
Swansea welcome Manchester City to the Liberty Stadium in a repeat of last year’s FA Cup quarter-final. Last season’s game was a cracker which ended in a 3-2 victory for City, having fought back from two goals down. Sergio Aguero came to the rescue in that game but Pep Guardiola will be without Sergio and Kevin De Bruyne for Wednesday’s clash.
Wednesday, 5.30pm: Swansea City v Manchester City
BT Sport 1/BT Sport Ultimate
But Manchester City thrashed Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool 4-1 on Sunday and all of a sudden they look to have yet another Premier League in the bag. Confidence could not be higher and once again they are attacking on four fronts with a League Cup final coming up against Tottenham Hotspur in April and a return to Champions League action just around the corner.
Obviously there will be no crowd at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday, which is a big advantage to the away side. In sixteen head-to-head games, Manchester City have won thirteen and lost on just one occasion.

Over 3.5 Goals
Swansea have come a long way under Steve Cooper since last year’s FA Cup quarter-final and head into this game on the back of a brilliant 2-0 win over Norwich last time out. They are currently third in the Championship, just two points off the top.
Free-flowing football is the demand of their manager and this will not change against City, which means Wednesday’s game is almost guaranteed to be high-scoring. Cooper has signed Irish international Conor Hourihane on loan from Aston Villa until the end of the season and this has proved to be a masterstroke, adding to the Swans’ attacking threat.
Swansea will give this game a real go but their swashbuckling side – added to the class of Wednesdays opposition – leads me to believe this will be a high scoring game.

Gabriel Jesus First Goalscorer
Pep’s hands are tied in terms of selection so a similar side to the one that won at Anfield on Sunday is expected. Gabriel Jesus has stepped up in recent games and, with the ongoing injuries to Aguero and De Bruyne, is not looking over his shoulder.
He is high in confidence and a certain starter in the game on Wednesday. I expect him to get on the score sheet.
