17:30: Burnley v Bournemouth – Burnley to win

The first leg of the double is Burnley to beat Bournemouth at Turf Moor. I watched the Clarets at the weekend draw 1-1 with an in-form Brighton and it was a game the home side could’ve easily won.

They had more possession, more corners and more shots both on and off-target. The FA Cup represents a chance for Sean Dyche’s men to play without the relegation battle pressure that usually weighs heavily on their backs.

The Cherries are going well in the Championship and lie sixth in the table, but they’ve recently sold Josh King to Everton and sacked their manager Jason Tindall. Jonathan Woodgate is their interim boss at the moment and oversaw their 3-2 win against Birmingham last weekend. He has now brought in the wise owl Harry Redknapp to help him while the Cherries continue their search for a new manager.

Burnley will likely freshen things up as they didn’t make any changes against The Seagulls last time out. But, they are at home and will make it unpleasant for the visitors. It’s a home win for Burnley in this one for me.

19:30: Manchester United v West Ham United – Man United to Win

The last time West Ham beat Man United at Old Trafford was all the way back in 2007, thanks to a Carlos Tevez goal on the last day of the season. We saw United’s neighbours City take a massive leap towards the title over the weekend when they delivered a knock-out blow to Liverpool’s chances with a 4-1 win away at Anfield.

It was not just a blow to Liverpool, but one that was very much felt on the red half of Manchester as Pep Guardiola’s men went five points clear of the chasing pack with a game in hand.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will know that in a year where City should win the league, it is his duty to try and deliver some silverware to the United faithful. He will know this only too well and we shouldn’t see a whole host of changes to his first XI for this tie.

United will be taking this game very seriously but The Hammers are no pushovers. David Moyes’ men are one point off fourth place and have lost just once in their last 11 in all competitions. However, they showed signs of fatigue in their scoreless draw at Fulham at the weekend following a tough midweek trip to Villa Park.

Jesse Lingard won’t be available to here against his parent club and they could have used his energy in this game. United should be a little fresher and will be eager to put Saturday night’s disappointing 3-3 draw with Everton behind them.

The Red Devils have managed clean sheets recently against Liverpool, Arsenal and Southampton – so they are capable of producing stronger displays at the back. I’m backing United to Win here, and if you want to boost your double price-wise it could be worth adding the hosts to win with a clean sheet too.
