Ozan Kabak ‘the best defender in Europe’ according to Liverpool fan

Top shout that. Always said he was quality

Ozan Kabak has been lauded as ‘the best defender in Europe’ by a Liverpool fan who never knew he existed until yesterday.

The 20-year-old Turkish international joined the Anfield outfit on loan for the remainder of the season having helped steer parent club Schalke 04 to the bottom of the Bundesliga table.

Life-long Liverpool supporter Stanley McCartney proclaimed Kabak to be the finest centre-half of his generation shortly after watching a carefully edited video of his best bits on the internet.

Making the announcement to his 53 followers, Stanley tweeted:

‘I’ve always rated Kabak ever since I typed his misspelt name into Google half an hour ago’.

‘Having studied his game extensively on YouTube, his positional sense reminds me of a young Alan Hansen combined with the strength and aerial ability of a peak Virgil van Dijk’.

‘With a whopping 77 career appearances under his belt, he brings a wealth of experience to heart of our defence’.

‘It is my opinion he is the best defender in Europe, if not the world’.

Stanley also lavished praise on Liverpool’s other central defensive signing, Ben something or other.

‘Ben Davis, Davidson, whatever you call him, is a player I’ve been keeping tabs on since about 10.30 this morning when he started trending on Twitter’.

‘Having managed to fight off competition from the likes of Burnley, Bournemouth and Sheffield United, the signing of Ben thingy is a real coup for the club’.

Meanwhile, Stanley was delighted Liverpool managed to retain the services of winger Mo Salah who is, in his opinion, the greatest player on the planet.

‘For my money, Salah’s the best player I’ve seen at Anfield and a club legend – until he inevitably leaves for Spain and then I never really rated him anyway’.

‘Bit like that Coutinho fella. Brazilian Rickie Lambert if you ask me’.
