The great thing about this round of fixtures is that we don’t have to go too far back for comparison. A lot of these fixtures took place in the middle of December and Leeds bettered Newcastle 5-2. A lot of the goals came late on, but I think Leeds deserved to win that one.

Since then, Newcastle are actually on the verge of failing to win in nine consecutive Premier League games for the third time since they got promoted back into the league. What that tells me is that they’re not that far off getting relegated. They’re just about putting together enough results here and there to stay up.
Leeds To Win
They’ve failed to score and five of their last six games as well. Allan Saint-Maximin came back against Aston Villa at the weekend. Leeds will be fresh after they were knocked out of the FA Cup.
I’d really be looking to side with Leeds here in the match markets, especially when you consider they’ve scored away from home in every game, bar the last one away against Tottenham. So for me, I’d be siding with Leeds to Win here.
Patrick Bamford To Score First
In terms of a goal scorer I’ll keep it simple. Patrick Bamford has 10 goals this season and he’s the penalty taker as well. I’ll also tip him up as a bit of antepost value.
There’s only six ahead of him in the Premier League Top Goalscorer market, but if you look at some of those players, we know Jamie Vardy’s out for a couple of weeks and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s just come back from injury.
Bruno Fernandes is fantastic, but I don’t think he’s going to put up a total that would win this market. Mo Salah, what’s his form going to be like? Is he going to play every game between now and the end of the season?
For me, Patrick Bamford, he starts every game for Leeds and is on penalties. Leeds are no longer in the FA Cup, they’re not in any European competition, unlike some the other players. Bamford, even at each way value, we’re still paying on the three places.
He’s available at a big price and for me, he’s the antepost bet there. But, for this game, Patrick Bamford is definitely the man to Score First.
