Man City are on a decent run of form of late and survived a potential upset on a difficult pitch in the Cotswolds at the weekend. Their three late goals against Cheltenham Town FC spoiled the party, but also illustrated just how much concentration is required to keep out Pep’s men over the course of the 90 minutes.
West Brom are the latest team to test themselves against City this Tuesday evening. Big Sam has been busy behind the scenes the last few days and it looks like some reinforcements may be on the way for the Baggies over the next week or so.
It’s not rocket science to safely conclude that City will win this even without the injured Kevin De Bruyne. West Brom have one win in their last 9 in the league and City come here having won 10 on the bounce in all competitions. The first bet I like in this one is under 2.5 goals. There has been under 2.5 goals scored in 13 of Man City’s last 16 games in the league.
Another market which catches the eye is Man City to be winning at half-time and full time. Yes, it’s odds on, but it’s still a backable price and is highly likely. City have won their last seven away matches against The Baggies in all competitions, and have been ahead at both half-time and full-time in their last six away matches against them. Also, it’s worth mentioning that Big Sam’s outfit have been losing at both half-time and full-time in their last three home matches.

If you are looking for something with a bigger price, there are plenty of options. In terms of a goalscorer, I would take a chance on City’s Phil Foden to hit the opener. He has looked awesome this season and has five goals in his last nine appearances.
If you are still not satisfied with that value, you could take a look at the Correct Score market. West Brom will be set up to make things very difficult for the visitors, so I don’t expect a goal fest. Have a look at a 2-0 City win. Pep’s men have kept five clean sheets in their last six and their back four has looked the best it has done for a few seasons.
