Barnsley v Norwich – Norwich to Win

Two Championship sides face off in our first selection as the league leaders travel to 10th-placed Barnsley looking to keep their superb momentum going. The Canaries have won eight on their last 10 in all competitions.

Saturday 3pm: Barnsley v Norwich
BT Sport Extra 5

The Tykes are in a little bit of a rut after some impressive results in December pushed them up the table. They’ve now lost three of their last four – including a 1-0 away loss to Norwich in the league.

This will by no means be easy for Daniel Farke’s folks but they’re clearly the better side in this contest. Having to head up to Yorkshire could be the fly in the ointment but on form and with a nice price on offer we have to be on the Norwich Win in this one.

Brighton v Blackpool – Both Teams To Score

Brighton needed a penalty shootout to get past League Two outfit Newport in the 3rd round and they take on Blackpool on Saturday. Graham Potter’s side are flirting with the drop zone in the Premier League but they did record their first win in 10 at the weekend with the 1-0 win over Leeds which lifted them one place to 16th.

Saturday 3pm: Brighton v Blackpool
BT Sport Extra 3

Their visitors this weekend, League One’s Blackpool occupy the same spot in their division and are six points clear of the drop zone. They’ve already beaten struggling Premier League opposition in the FA Cup this season, needing penalties to get past West Brom.

They key here is that Brighton almost always concede, as they did against Newport. Their clean sheet against Leeds at the weekend was their first in seven games and only their third in the last 13 games in all competitions. Blackpool have shown they’re up for the cup and, if they can muster two against Sam Allardyce’s Baggies, we’re backing them to get at least one here with Both Teams To Score.

Sheffield United v Plymouth – Both Teams To Score

Plymouth’s League One away record had been absolutely abysmal until recently where they have won two and drawn one of the last three, helping to improve a record of just two points taken from the seven games prior. Sheffield United’s problems are well documented but they have picked up a little recently, winning two of their last three in all competitions including the 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers in the 3rd round.

Saturday 3pm: Sheffield United v Plymouth
BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport Website

The Blades have, by and large, been in the games that they’ve been losing in the Premier League and they’ve improved in front of goal recently. Argyle, despite a poor run in November and December have generally been pretty prolific and have netted in their last eight, including three against Championship side Huddersfield in the last round.

United have scored in their last three and will surely fancy their chances of breaching a League One defence which has shipped 39 goals in 23 games. For their part, Argyle will fancy another upset and with 11 goals in their last six the’re confident going forward so Both Teams To Score feels like a good play again.

Swansea v Nottingham Forest – Under 2.5 Goals

Nottingham Forest have finally started picking up and have notched three wins on the bounce. They’re unbeaten in seven games in all competitions and have risen to 19th in The Championship.

Saturday 3pm: Swansea v Nottingham Forest
BBC One Wales and BT Sport Extra 4

Swansea are 2nd in the second tier and are on a great run themselves. They’ve not lost for seven games, winning five and drawing one since then. Both of these sides like to keep it tight and Swansea have seen Over 2.5 Goals just once in their last 10 games in all competitions.

Forest are similar and Overs has come off just once in the last seven – last time out in the 3-1 win over Millwall. With Saturday’s away side improving massively I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to progress. However, the same can be said for The Swans so backing a low scoring game either way with Under 2.5 Goals is definitely the play here.

Who will progress?

We’ve also taken a look at who will progress from the seven FA Cup 4th round games on Saturday at 3pm in the To Qualify market. Obviously, some of these will be really short odds but put together they make up a decent price. Here are the teams we’re giving the nod to make it into the 5th round be it after 90 mins or via penalties.

Barnsley v Norwich – Norwich to Qualify
Bournemouth v Crawley – Bournemouth to Qualify
Brighton v Blackpool – Brighton to Qualify
Millwall v Bristol City – Millwall to Qualify
Sheffield United v Plymouth – Sheffield United to Qualify
Swansea v Nottingham Forest – Swansea to Qualify
West Ham v Doncaster – West Ham to Qualify

These seven selections in an acca will give you odds or around 6.5/1.
