Valencia welcome Osasuna to the Mestalla Stadium in La Liga in Thursday’s early kick-off. The hosts have been struggling this season and sit just three points above the relegation zone. ‘The Bats’ have shown improvement in their last few games, however, and have won three on the spin in all competitions.
Osasuna are in even more trouble and currently lie second from bottom. They have failed to score in their last two matches in La Liga and have lost four of their last six away games. Former Watford boss Javi Gracia’s Valencia have no doubt been underperforming this season, but seem to have turned a corner in recent weeks. Osasuna are not helped by having main striker Chimy Avila out until March with a cruciate ligament rupture.
Valencia v Osasuna, 6pm: LaLiga TV
Valencia have a 41-17 advantage against Osasuna with 33 draws in 80 matches. They have won 15 of their last 17 home games in this fixture in all competitions and have won by two or more goals in their last five home games against Thursday’s opponents.
The home side are simply a much stronger team, and with three wins on the bounce and their fantastic record against Osasuna, there can only be one winner. The bet is a Valencia to Win.
Liverpool have slipped to fourth and are in desperate need of a win to keep up with their title rivals in Thursday’s Premier League game. Opponents Burnley have their own problems and sit just one point above the drop zone. The Reds have beaten Sean Dyche’s side by an average of two goals in recent years – aside from a 1-1 draw in this corresponding fixture last year when the word hangover could have been used with Liverpool already crowned champions!
Liverpool are yet to win a Premier League game in 2021 with three draws and one defeat. Even more incredible is the fact they have failed to score in their last three top-flight matches. The Clarets aren’t any better, scoring just nine goals all season winning four of their 17 games.
Liverpool v Burnley, 8pm: Sky Sports Main Event
Jurgen Klopp will be hoping Joel Matip is fit to return which would enable him to push Jordan Henderson back into midfield. Liverpool’s injuries are well documented, but this looks like a good fixture to get back to winning ways.
Their front three will see this as a great opportunity to get on the score sheet. Add in Burnley’s pitiful goal scoring record, and you’d expect Liverpool’s defence can keep a clean sheet. The Bet is Liverpool in the Handicap (-2).
