Phil Thompson thinks this improving West Ham will have enough to get past a plucky Stockport side on Monday night. David Moyes takes his Premier League Fancy Dans to face a non-league side who will looking to write their names into the history books.
Paddy’s football ambassador doesn’t think The Hammers will have it all their own say and can see Stockport getting on the scoresheet. Here’s his best bets for Monday’s game.
Stockport v West Ham
I’d love to say we could get a shock here. Maybe if it was the West Ham of old, but I think David Moyes has these made of sterner stuff. He might have been on the end, when he was last in charge of West Ham, of a bad result.
But I just think this West Ham seems a little bit different. They do have a better back up squad now compared to a few years ago.
Monday 8pm: Stockport v West Ham
BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate
Stockport are doing OK in the National League and they had a 2-2 draw with Altringham last time out. Prior to that they had a good win against Wrexham. I think they’ll get a goal so if you want to go for a decent bet in this one, I think Both Teams Will Score.
THOMMO’S TIPS:I’m going for a West Ham victory, I’m going 3-1. I’m going to go for Andriy Yarmolenko to Score Anytime. He’s got a wonderful left foot. If he plays – and if he wants to play because it’s going to be cold and miserable – then my goodness, he can put anything in. I think Manuel Lanzini will play so I’m going for Lanzini to Score Anytime as well.
