5.30pm: Birmingham v Derby – Derby to Win

Birmingham have been in dire form, with just two wins in their last 12 Championship games – back-to-back shock victories over Bristol City and Reading on the road. They’ve drawn four and lost six in the rest of that run.

In their last five they have won one, drawn one and lost five. They have amassed 23 points from 21 games with five wins, eight draws and eight losses this season.

Derby are improving and are finally showing some signs of life. They have two wins, two draws and a loss in their last five and have slowly risen to 22nd with 16 points from 20 games with three wins, seven draws and 10 defeats.

While the Rams are by no means setting the world alight under their caretaker management team which includes Wayne Rooney, they are finally moving in the right direction. Birmingham have started to slide badly and all things considered it’s worth backing Derby to Win in Tuesday evening’s early televised game.

8pm: Stoke v Nottingham Forest – Stoke to Win

Stoke are another side on the up and they find themselves challenging for the playoffs as we approach the halfway stage of the season. They struggled to adapt back in the second tier after a decade in the Premier League with 16th and 15th place finishes in the Championship over the last two seasons.

But Michael O’Neill looks to be working his magic and they’re now playing with direction and a purpose which has seen them win one, draw three and lose one in their last five. They’re 7th in the second tier with 34 points from 21 games with nine wins, seven draws and five losses.

Chris Hughton has been unable to deliver the expected improvement required of him when he took over from Sabri Lamouchi after Forest’s disappointing end to last season and woeful start to this one. They’re 20th with four wins, six draws and 11 defeats, leading to their total of 18 points from 21 games.

Forest’s away record is abysmal though, and despite some improved form in their last five, we can expect Stoke to Win this game. With the price on offer for a Potters triumph, this selection is a must-have for our acca insured four fold on Tuesday.

7pm: Rochdale v Crewe – Crewe to Win

Crewe have really started hitting their straps recently. Heading into Christmas they were one of the in-form sides in England, racking up a number of impressive results to help them rise up the table.

The same can’t be said for Rochdale, however. They’re down in 19th with 19 points from 18 games with five wins, four draws and eight defeats. Crewe are flirting with the playoffs and sit in 9th with 30 points from 20 games with nine wins, three draws and eight defeats.

Crewe have been improving on the road with a win and a draw in their last two, while Rochdale’s home form has been poor, with their last win at Spotland coming eight games ago. The Alex are finding their feet on the road and with Rochdale struggling it’s well worth being on the Crewe win.

7.45pm: Harrogate v Carlisle – Carlisle to Win

Carlisle have been shaking off pre-season negativity to launch a, perhaps unexpected, promotion charge. They occupy the final automatic promotion spot on the back of three wins a loss and a draw over their last five.

Their away form has left a little to be desired though, with just 11 of their 35 points coming on the road. However, their away form is better than Harrogate’s home form and, after a surprisingly good start, the Yorkshire side have started slipping down to where they were more-or-less expected to be before a ball was kicked this season.

Harrogate find themselves in 16th after 20 games while Carlisle are 3rd. Town’s recent form has been pretty poor with the success they’ve had coming on the road and the visitors can be expected to assert their dominance with a Carlisle Win on Tuesday night against a side who have taken six points from a possible 27 on offer at home.
