Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that midfielder Paul Pogba will definitely start some sort of drama as Manchester United take on RB Leipzig in the Champions League tonight.
Despite their bests efforts, United’s preparation for the make-or-break game against last season’s semi-finalists has failed to overshadow ‘The Paul Pogba Show’, currently halfway through its 5th season.
Although desperate to keep his team selection a secret, Solskjaer did reveal that Pogba would play a pivotal role in making the entire evening all about him.
‘I spoke to Paul during training and he’s assured me he’s ready to cause a scene tonight’, the Norwegian told Paddy Power News.
‘Whether it’s some inflammatory remarks by his agent on the eve of a big game or his constant courting of Real Madrid during press conferences while on international duty, you can always rely on Paul to create a huge distracting sh*t storm’.
The 27-year-old former Juventus star has been in scintillating form this season, causing 36 rows in only 13 games.
When pressed on whether or not he felt Pogba had justified his fee since joining the club, his manager said:
‘The creativity of Paul’s barber has been a joy to behold since he signed for this club’.
‘How many different hairstyles has he had? 80? 90? Those are the sort of stats you expect to see from a top-top Insta user like Paul’.
Meanwhile, Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola claims his client is ready for a new challenge and wants to leave Old Trafford during the next transfer window.
‘Paul’s ready to disrupt a new dressing room’, the 53-year-old told Paddy Power News.
‘We’d love to pitch the Pogba circus tent in Madrid’.
When quizzed on whether he felt the Frenchman’s style would be suited to La Liga, the Italian remarked.
‘Paul is capable of causing drama in any league in the world’.
‘No club is too big, no agent’s fee is too big’, he grinned.
