Football tips: Our 20/1 acca for Saturday’s biggest games across Europe

We're off to Italy, Spain, France and Germany for this bet.

For Saturday’s European action we’re taking a look at some of the biggest names in European football. With the exception of Atletico Madrid, all of these teams are known only too well for their attacking abilities as well as their defensive thriftiness.

We’re poured over the stats and we’ve found some decent value in the Both Teams to Score markets here and there’s one scoreline bet included as well. Let’s have a look then at what we’re backing.

5pm: Juventus vs Torino – Juventus to Win & BTTS

While the Derby d’Italia against Inter might be their ‘biggest’ fixture of the league season the Turin derby is always seen as a must-win by both teams. Torino love putting a dent in the armour of their oldest of rivals while for Juventus it’s all about stamping their authority across the city, even if most of their fans come from the areas around Turin and not the city itself.

1995 was the last time Torino won as the away side here and the market has heavily sided with the home team. However, over their last five visits they’ve managed to hold out for a draw twice and looking back a little further to eight visits they’ve scored a goal in five. Juventus won six of those matches, while two ended 1-1. Torino are scoring on the road as well this season, scoring eight over their five most recent away matches. Juventus will surely come out on top though. They’ve lost just two of their last 45 home Serie A matches. We’re backing them to win and Both Teams to Score at some nice odds.

5.30pm: Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig – Bayern to Win & BTTS

Leipzig’s record at the Allianz Arena is muck. Since promotion to the top flight they’ve visited four times, losing three and drawing one and scored a total of zero goals. What’s swinging us towards BTTS here is that Bayern’s usually solid defence just isn’t the same this year. They’ve been struggling to keep clean sheets, with just one over their last eight in all competitions. They don’t seem to mind too much either, and with their strikeforce who can blame them!

As written above Leipzig have scored no goals at the Allianz in four previous attempts. Why do we think they’ll get one this time? Well, they’ve scored at least one in seven out of their last eight away Bundesliga matches and over their five most recent league games have scored a total of eight. Earlier this season it looked like selling Timo Werner to Chelsea had been a mistake but they’ve now settled into a solid team again and the goals are flowing. Bayern are just too strong though and have lost just one of their last 15 league matches at home. With that record we have to back them but Leipzig should, finally, get on the scoresheet as well.

5.30pm: Atletico Madrid vs Valladolid – Atletico to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0

Atletico scorelines at home have been somewhat binary at home of late in La Liga. 1-0, 2-0, 0-0, and a 4-0 and 6-1 thrown in for good measure. Eight of the last 10 matches between these sides with Atletico as the home team has seen them winning eight, one draw and one Valladolid victory.

Valladolid have been pretty bad on the road of late in the league, winning just one of their last five, losing three and drawing one. Worst of all, they only managed to score in two of those five. The market isn’t expecting Atletico to concede here but the odds are a bit too slim for us. Instead we’ve gone with Atletico to Win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 a bet that would have paid out twice since Valladolid were promoted back to La Liga in 2018/19 and in three out of five recent La Liga matches for Atletico.

8pm: Montpellier vs PSG -Both Teams to Score

Montpellier come into this one with four wins out of five under their belts and have kept their opponents scoreless in three of those. They’ve really tightened up a defence that was shipping far too many earlier in the season and while they probably won’t be able to keep this PSG scoreless, they’ve scored 30 over their 12 Ligue Un matches, so they’ll make it very difficult for their wealthy opponents.

As good as this PSG side are, they’re far from perfect. They drew at home to Bordeaux in their last league match and had lost away to Monaco just over a week prior to that. While we don’t think Montpellier will take the three points that steely defence, should it hold, could make it a long, frustrating night for the Parisians. The odds aren’t long but there’s both teams are full of goals of late and should get at least one each here.
