12:00 Motherwell vs Celtic: Celtic to win and over 2.5 goals

Celtic are in dire straits after another truly horrendous Europa League result on Thursday night. Neil Lennon’s side can now forget about qualifying for the knockout stages of Europe’s secondary competition and risk doing the same thing with the Scottish title if they don’t turn their form around quickly.

For the moment, The Bhoys remain just about within touching distance of Rangers. Lennon’s side are nine points off the league leaders with two games in hand, so it is absolutely imperative that they avoid further setbacks.

It won’t be an easy task against a Motherwell side that has won their last two games, scoring six and conceding none. Celtic, meanwhile, have won just one in their last six – against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup, they’ve also conceded 14 goals in those five games that they’ve failed to win.

We should see some sort of reaction from Celtic on Sunday similar to the one we saw last week when they comfortably overcame Aberdeen following a difficult run of results, and they should have just about enough to get over the line at Motherwell. However, it is hard to see them keeping a clean sheet given their recent defensive woes, and they will likely have to score twice to secure a vital three points.

15:00 Rangers vs Hamilton: Rangers (-3)

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers have been absolutely flawless at Ibrox this season and that is not about to change against lowly Hamilton. Gerrard’s side have played six home games this season, winning all six, scoring 16 and conceding none.

They have brushed aside all challengers at Ibrox this year and have also smashed it on their travels too, conceding in just two different league games, so the chances of Hamilton causing an upset are extremely slim. The Accies currently sit bottom of the Scottish Premiership with the worst defensive record in the league, conceding 25 goals in their 11 league games to date.

It is hard to see a team of Hamilton’s quality breaching the Rangers defence to end their clean sheet streak at Ibrox, while it is simultaneously easy to predict The Gers running riot at the other end against the most porous team in the league. This is an excellent opportunity for Rangers to give their goal difference a significant boost and they should grab it with both hands.

Scottish Premiership tips summary:

12:00 Motherwell vs Celtic: Celtic to win and over 2.5 goals
15:00 Rangers vs Hamilton: Rangers (-3)
