Football tips: Our five fab fancies for Saturday’s 20/1 Euro accumulator

We've scoured Europe's top leagues for the pick of the punts.

After a belting midweek of Champions League football, the best of Europe are back at it in their domestic leagues. We’ve taken a look at five of the best matches from the continent and found a very handsome looking five-fold Acca indeed. Let’s have a look at what we’ve picked.

5pm: Genoa vs Inter – Inter to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

Genoa have won one, drawn one and lost one of their Serie A matches so far, scoring four and conceding seven. Inter, who salvaged a draw with Borussia Monchengladbach thanks to a 90th-minute Romelu Lukaku goal on Wednesday, have won two, drawn one and lost one. They’ve scored 11 and conceded eight.

Over the last few league meetings at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris Inter have won the last two but Genoa won the three prior to those. Only two of those saw Over 2.5 Goals and none saw BTTS landing. Inter are massive favourites here and they’re started the season full of goals. Four out of five previous Genoa home league matches have seen Overs landing and it’s landed in three out of Inter’s five most recent away in the league. The away side should come out on top here and we’ll see a few goals, our pick is Inter to Win & Over 2.5 Goals.

5.30pm: Dortmund vs Schalke – Dortmund to Win & BTTS

This will be the 97th Revierderby in the Bundesliga and the 49th hosted by Borussia Dortmund and it couldn’t really come at a worse time for Schalke who have now gone four league matches without a win. Dortmund have won 21 previous meetings at home, drawing 15 and Schalke winning 12. These have been dingdong affairs over the last few years, four out of five at the Signal Iduna Park saw Over 3.5 Goals occurring and BTTS landed in three.

Dortmund are obviously massive favourites here, rightly so, but as we’ve seen above they’ve drawn and lost more matches than they’ve won over the years and Schalke always raise their game when visiting. We’re looking at Dortmund to Win and BTTS here.

7.45pm: Lazio vs Bologna – Ciro Immobile to Score Anytime

Lazio pulled off one of the shocks of the Champions League matches during the week, beating Dortmund 3-1 at home. The home side have started their season somewhat underwhelmingly, winning one, drawing one and losing two, scoring four and conceding eight. It’s a bit, just a bit, better than Bologna though, who have won one and lost three, scoring seven and conceding eight.

Four out of the last five meetings at the Stadio Olimpico have seen BTTS landing and both teams are conceding plenty, however, the odds are a bit slim. Instead, we’re looking at Lazio striker Ciro Immobile who has six goals in 11 against Bologna in his career. He has two over his five matches so far this season and with him having a good record against Bologna and being Lazio’s main attacking threat he’s your best bet for getting on the scoresheet here

8pm: PSG vs Dijon – Both Teams to Score: No

PSG were humbled by Manchester United midweek and it will have hurt but they’ll get back to winning ways here. The home side are huge favourites but we can find something better priced.

Over their last five meetings against Dijon at home in all competitions, PSG have kept Dijon scoreless on each occasion. Add to this that Dijon are already rock bottom of the league, having drawn two and lost five of their matches, scoring just four goals and conceding 14. We’re looking at BTTS: No here.

MORE TIPS: Phil Thompson’s verdict on Man Utd v Chelsea

8pm: Atletico Madrid vs Betis: BTTS: No

Atletico took a bit of a hiding midweek from Bayern Munich losing 4-0. And even though they had some good chances they looked deflated at full time. They are, though, still undefeated in La Liga, winning two and drawing two of their four matches, scoring eight and conceding just one. Betis have won three and lost three of their league matches, scoring seven and conceding nine.

There have only been three goals over the four most recent meetings between the sides that Atletico have hosted and we all know Atletico have no problem shutting up shop when a goal or two ahead. We’re going again with BTTS: No here.
