FIFA 2021: Ronaldo tries to edit ratings to get ahead of Messi

Though he's often been left their by his Argentine rival, Cristiano Ronaldo has never settled for second best - and that includes on FIFA's ratings

Reports have reached us that Cristiano Ronaldo has spent the past 24 hours attempting to hack FIFA 2021 to change his ratings so he’s better than Lionel Messi.

EA Sports released their top player ratings back in September, revealing that Lionel Messi remained the top dog with an overall rating of 93, one rating point ahead of the Juventus man.

But, just like the Ballon d’Or – and pretty much everything else in life – Ronaldo has done all he can to get one over the Argentine.

“He’s been fuming since they released the ratings,” a source close to the former Madrid star said.

“‘This is just because Juve won’t let them use the badge, isn’t it? Piemonte Calcio! What b*llshit is that?’”

“He’s seething.”

“First thing he did when he got FIFA 2021 installed was google ‘how to edit player ratings FIFA 2021’.”

The goal-scoring great has grown increasingly frustrated as the editing of player values isn’t as easy as he’d hoped.

“He’s been up half the night watching vids of 9-year-old kids cycling through different hairstyles you can give your players – ‘I only want to change the f**king ratings’ is all he keeps saying.”

“Though it looks like an option file he downloaded has was corrupted – now every player’s weight and height are set to the max – every game looks like the players are all wrapped in a sumo wrestling suit.”

“And no one’s told him yet the cheat files won’t work on the Ultimate Team anyway. He’s going to lose it when he cops that.”

Meanwhile, Neymar’s said to be disappointed with being just the fifth-best player in the game, behind Robert Lewandowski and Kevin De Bruyne in addition to the top two.

“They’ve not included ‘rolling’ or ‘diving’ as skills – how unrealistic is that?” the Brazilian complained.

“I’m a 99 on both.”

Though it’s not all complaints, as Gareth Bale has been rated as at 84 for “putting” and 81 for “drive power”.

“Chuffed with that, just need to work on my fade now,” he told the greenskeeper at his local club at his 7am tee-off this morning.

“They’ll be sticking my mug on the PGA Tour game next year,” he joked.
