Football Tips: Our 15/1 Euro acca cracker for the best of Saturday’s games

Paddy Murphy has been scouring Europe again in his unrelenting quest to unearth the best value around.

Saturday night’s European football action sees the likes of Inter, Marseille, Ajax and Real Madrid all in action.

All four of these teams go into their matches as heavy favourites but that doesn’t mean there still aren’t plenty of opportunities to find some decent value in the betting markets.

We’re poured over the stats and form of all eight teams involved and come up with a four-fold Acca.

19:45 Inter vs Fiorentina: Inter to Win and Over 2.5 Goals

Inter are a week behind the rest of Serie A here as this is their first competitive match since losing the Europa League final against Sevilla whereas Fiorentina won their opening match 1-0 against Torino at home last weekend.

It’s pretty easy to see why Antonio Conte’s men are such heavy favourites here, they not only have far more goals and better players in their squad, but they have beaten Fiorentina in seven out of ten previous meetings at the San Siro in all competitions, losing just two.

Five out of the last six of those have seen Over 2.5 goals landing, four of which saw BTTS occurring. Looking at home vs away form, Inter have won three, drawn one and lost one of their last five at home with Over 2.5 goals seen in three.

Fiorentina won three, drew one and lost one of their last five league matches on their travels, with Over 2.5 goals occurring in four of those matches. Inter are the stronger side by far here but Fiorentina can cause problems and we like the look of Inter to Win and Over 2.5 Goals.

20:00 Marseille vs Metz: Marseille to Win & Over 1.5 Goals

Marseille just can’t seem to catch the fire they had in that famous 0-1 win away to PSG a few weeks ago. Since then they’ve lost to St Etienne and drawn with Lille at home, surely a third home match in a row will see them take the three points?

The current odds would certainly suggest so and Metz have been pretty dire since the season started, winning just one of their four matches played so far, losing all three of the others, scoring just two goals in the process.

Marseille have won six out of the last seven meetings here and we don’t see that changing, pair this with Metz’s apparent lack of interest in scoring goals and the home side could well Win to Nil here.

But, let’s play it somewhat safer, Marseille have a terrible record of Clean Sheets at home in the league so let’s go with Marseille to Win & Over 1.5 Goals.

20:00 Ajax vs Vitesse: Ajax to Win & BTTS

Ajax too are heavy favourites when they take on Vitesse on Saturday night but they don’t have as good a record against Vitesse as you’d expect. They’ve lost twice to them over their last five meetings as the home side, but over the 10 most recent they’ve won six.

It’s Ajax’s home record that is obviously pushing the market to heavily back the Amsterdam side. Over their 11 most recent home matches they’ve lost just two matches, winning all nine of the others. Vitesse have won just two of their last five on the road, losing two and drawing one.

As good as Ajax are though, Vitesse are more than capable of getting a goal here and averaged 1.62 goals on their travels in the league last season and over their last two visits to the Johan Cruijff Arena they’ve netted four times.

We can get very good odds on Ajax to Win and Both Teams to Score, so that’s what we’re going with.

20:00 Betis vs Real Madrid: Both Teams To Score

Betis beat Real here last season thanks to a late second half goal. The home side have won three of the last 10 meetings here, Real have won six with only one ending in a draw.

Betis have won both of their matches so far since the league started while Real played out a pretty lacklustre 0-0 away to Real Sociedad last weekend.

They’re going to be without a few of their usual starting XI as well, including Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio and Isco.

Betis had a pretty high scoring record at home last year, netting 1.79 goals per La Liga match and with Real missing so many of their usual starting XI and appearing to be a bit rusty last weekend you’d expect Betis to enjoy some pressure here. We’re going with Both Teams to Score here.

All four of these picks in a four-fold Acca will give you odds of around 15/1.
