Riga FC vs Celtic: Both Teams to Score – Yes

Thursday, 18.00, Premier Sports 2

The market has certainly sided with the Scottish champions here but Riga FC are no pushovers, the home side has played 11 home matches since the Latvian league resumed in June, winning 10 and losing just one. Celtic are in similarly great form, having lost just one of their nine matches so far this season in all competitions.

Of course, there’s quite a gulf in quality between the Latvian and Scottish leagues but Riga’s good goal-scoring record of 24 goals over those 11 home matches and Celtic not having the best record of Clean Sheets is swaying us towards Both Teams to Score here at odds that represent very good value indeed.

Hapoel Be’er Sheva vs Motherwell: Hapoel to Win

Thursday, 18.30

Both teams come into this match in pretty decent overall form. Be’er Sheva have won four out of their five most recent matches, while Motherwell have won three, drawing one (winning on penalties) and losing one.

The difference here might just come down to home versus away form though – Be’er Sheva have won four out of their last five at the Toto Turner Stadium. Motherwell have only won one of their last five on their road, drawing two and losing two, one of those draws was won on penalties.

SteveRobinsonMotherwellAug20

The home side are good at keeping the score lines down at home as well. Over their six most recent home matches they kept four Clean Sheets. Compare this to Motherwell who have failed to score in three of their five away matches so far this season. Sorry, Motherwell fans, this looks like it’s going Be’er Sheva’s way

Sheriff Tiraspol vs Dundalk: Both Teams to Score – Yes

Thursday, 19.00

Dundalk are in for a tough match in facing Moldovan champions, Sheriff Tiraspol. The home side have won their domestic league nine times over the last 10 years and the market is definitely siding with them here. Both sides are coming into the clash with a fair amount of matches under their belts too and what really stands out is the number of goals scored in matches involving the pair.

Sheriff have scored at least two goals in five out of five previous home matches and Dundalk have scored at least one in five out of six recent away matches. Sheriff should just about squeeze this but with both in good goal-scoring form, we’re going with Both Teams to Score.

Sporting Lisbon vs Aberdeen: Sporting to Win to Nil

Thursday, 20.00

Aberdeen are massive underdogs here and it’s hardly surprising. It’s been 12 matches now since Sporting lost at home and even though Aberdeen have won all three of their away matches this season they’ve only won six out of their last 13, one thanks to an Extra Time own goal, on their travels in all competitions.

Sporting have kept six Clean Sheets at home over their nine most recent matches and Aberdeen aren’t exactly known for their high-scoring exploits, they’ve only scored five goals over their five league matches this season. This looks like it’s going to be a very tough night for Derek McInnes’ Dons in Lisbon, we’re going with Sporting to Win to Nil here.

Willem II vs Rangers: Rangers to Win

Thursday, 20.00

Along with Celtic, Rangers are the only other side featured here who are favourites coming into their Europa League match. Willem’s season has just gotten underway with a 4-0 win over Heracles in the Eredivisie.

Steven Gerrard Rangers

Rangers, on the other hand, have been playing competitive football since August 1st and have lost just one of their 10 games so far this season, winning seven and drawing two.

Willem have been hit by an injury crisis which means they’ll be missing five of their usual starting XI from last season and thanks to this Rangers’ odds have shortened a bit. We’re going with the ‘Gers here, they’ve far more games under their belts and are in good form coming up against a team rocked by injury and who won’t exactly be match fit.

All five of these picks in a five-fold Acca will give you odds of 21/1
