Paris St-Germain misfit Julian Draxler could be set to join the Marcelo Bielsa revolution at Elland Road.
The German attacking midfielder looks to be available this summer after failing to live up to the hype in the French capital since joining three years ago.
And Leeds are said to be looking to add to their creative and attacking options after the impressive £30m signing of Rodrigo from Valencia earlier this summer.
While last season’s Championship champions have tumbled into favouritism for Draxler’s signature, reports today suggest that PSG might be willing to use the 26-year-old in a deal to bring Matteo Guendouzi back to France.
Arsenal had high hopes for the 21-year-old when he broke onto the scene, but Guendouzi looks to have fallen out of favour with Mikel Arteta who doesn’t seem to rate his attitude and willingness to let everyone know how rich he is. However, Arsenal are only our third favourites to sign Draxler.
Second spot goes to their thrifty north London rivals Tottenham who have already signed Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton and Matt Doherty from Wolves.
The rejuvenated Inter Milan are not afraid to throw a Euro or two around these days and they’re ranked fourth-most likely by our team of trusty traders – but they seem to be linked with everyone this summer. There’s one big problem with this potential transfer, though, as Draxler hasn’t flopped at Manchester United yet.
The Germany international could have a pair of big city rivals after him as AC Milan are the final club to get a price for his signature this summer. AC are also going through something of a revival and could be tempted to move for a player of Draxler’s obvious talent to improve their quality going forward.
