National League tips: Our trader’s slick 6/1 treble for Saturday night’s big matches

There's plenty of talent on show tonight in the Nations League.

Paddy’s football trader Brian McDonnell joined PPTV to take a deep dive into the best bets on offer ahead of Saturday night’s Nations League clashes at 7.45pm.

There are some big games taking place across the continent and you can check out Brian’s preview in full below or read on to see his best bets which make up a tasty treble.

Sweden v France: Sweden +1

France manager Didier Deschamps has said he’s using these games to work on different tactics and systems in the lead up to the European Championships next summer.

There’s no doubt the French side has more star quality than Sweden do, but I still think I want to be on Sweden double chance or +1 at the bigger price than France to win.

France haven’t been too convincing away from home recently and Sweden have won the last two between these sides. I don’t think we’re going to see the best France here and Sweden are unbeaten at home in two years so I’d be on Sweden +1.

Portugal v Croatia: Portugal Win

I’m going to go with Portugal at home to beat Croatia. They’ve got a lot of exciting players that finished off last season in good form.

You’ve got Cristiano Ronaldo looking for his 100th international goal, Bruno Fernandes who’s been excellent since joining Manchester United in January and Bernardo Silva is a real threat every time he has the ball at the edge of the area.

Portugal probably have a better squad now than when they won the Euros in 2016 and I think they can go close to defending their crown next year.

Croatia don’t travel too well and they’re without experienced players like Luka Modric so I think they’ll struggle to get a result here so I’ll be adding a Portugal win to my treble.

Denmark v Belgium: Belgium Win

I’m going to be adding Belgium to the third leg of my treble. They’ve got such a good squad at the moment and have only lost twice in their last 42 games. They’ve won the last nine on the trot, scoring over 40 goals in the process.

They’re among the favourites to win the Euros next year and are a shorter price than Germany and Spain. Manager Roberto Martinez has been able to pick his best-possible squad for this game and it looks like Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne could be their front three.

It’s such a strong squad that it’s hard to see anything other than a Belgium win. Denmark will have a strong line up as well and Chrstian Eriksen will feature but Belgium are too strong for Denmark and I’m happy to have them in my treble for Saturday night’s 19:45 Nations League games.

These three selections in a treble will give you odds of 6/1 with Paddy Power.
