The Europa League resumes on Wednesday with a combination of one-off last 16 games and second legs in the ties where the first have already been played.
Manchester United and Rangers have already played the first legs of their ties, albeit with contrasting results. United are pretty much through after the 5-0 hammering of LASK while the Gers are hoping to overturn a 3-1 deficit away at Bayer Leverkusen.
With the Red Devils having one-and-a-half feet in the quarter-finals, and the strongest squad left in the competition, it’s no surprise that Paddy’s made them the favourites to win the whole thing again.
The big question must surely be how much they care, though, after sealing Champions League football through a top-four Premier League finish.
Leverkusen’s strong first-leg performance has helped them to the title of third favourites in our markets, just ahead of Spanish side Sevilla.
Wolves are one side who will really be going for it here but and they head to the Molineux with a vital away goal in their battle with Olympiakos. Nuno Espirito Sanchez will surely be gunning for the win and a fast-track to Champions League football.
We’re getting in to rank outsider territory now with Getafe and Basel. Everyone else is 50/1 or more. This is partly because of poor first-leg results and that is particularly the case with Rangers who are a whopping 500/1 to win the Europa League this year. We doubt they’ll still be in the competition at the weekend let alone in the final!
Europa League outright odds
