Football Tips: 5 to thrive in this 14/1 acca for Wednesday’s Euro action

The very best value from across the continent on Wednesday.

For Wednesday night’s European football we’re looking at the title races in Turkey and Spain as well as the fight for the European places in Italy’s Serie A.

16.30: Trabzonspor vs Antalyaspor – Trabzonspor to Win & Over 2.5 Goals

With just four rounds of matches to go in Turkey’s Super Lig (including this one) things are really hotting up. At the time of writing Trabzonspor are just two points behind leaders Basaksehir who play on Tuesday night. Regardless of that result the home side here will have to go all out to win.

Over their last seven matches against Antalyaspor at home they’ve won six, scoring 15 and conceding just three. They’re averaging 2.53 goals per home league match this season and are conceding 1.13. While Antalyaspor have a terrible record at the Medical Park Stadium they’re more than capable of causing problems and usually get at least one goal to their name on the road so we’re backing Trabzonspor to Win and Over 2.5 Goals here.

19.30: Getafe vs Villarreal – Both Teams to Score

Getafe, Villarreal and Sevilla find themselves in a battle for the final Champions League place. Getafe are on 53 points, Villarreal on 54, while Sevilla are on 60. A win here for either side will close the gap at least until Sevilla play Athletic Bilbao on Thursday. Getafe are pretty good at home, winning eight, drawing six and losing just three, Villarreal have won eight, drawn one and lost eight on their La Liga travels.

Momentum is with the away team here though, they’ve lost only one of their seven matches since the return, winning five and drawing one, Getafe have lost two but have drawn four, winning just one. Both Teams need the points here and with goals averages of 1.41 and 1.29 respectively we’re backing both to get on the scoresheet.

20.45: Roma vs Parma – Both Teams to Score

Roma’s bad run continues and they’ve now lost three matches from four since the return to action, Parma though are equally as bad, they’ve played five, losing three, winning one and losing one. The Romans are now in danger of falling out of the European places and need to put some good results together.

Parma are safe as houses here and have little to play for, which means they can play with some freedom; while they’ve not been winning matches they’ve still been scoring, getting at least one per match since Serie A came back. Roma have the quality but not the form to beat Parma here and they’re averaging 1.47 goals conceded per home Serie A match so we’re backing BTTS here again.

20.45: Atalanta vs Sampdoria – Over 3.5 Goals

Atalanta are on a run of 12 matches without defeat, winning 11, drawing one. Will this be unlucky, or lucky 13? Sampdoria have won just two of their five since the league restarted. Atalanta have won all theirs, scoring 13, conceding five. Sampdoria have scored eight and conceded six. Both have played five matches.

There’s little fear of the chasing pack catching Atalanta in fourth but they can overtake Inter in third with a win here. The home side are averaging 2.80 and conceding 1.47 goals per home match, Sampdoria are averaging 1.14 and conceding 1.93 per away match. With Atalanta in such good form and both in good goal scoring form we’re going with goals here and backing Over 3.5, a bet that would have won in three out of five previous home Atalanta matches.

21.00: Barcelona vs Espanyol – Barcelona -1 Handicap

Barcelona are obviously strong at home, winning 15 and drawing two of their home La Liga matches. Espanyol are doomed to relegation and Barca could put the final nail in the coffin for their Catalan rivals.

(-1)

We’re looking at the -1 Handicap here, so Barca will need to win by two clear goals, something they’ve done at home to Espanyol in seven out of seven previous meetings between the pair at the Nou Camp in La Liga and the Copa Del Rey. We’re backing that trend to continue here.

All five of these picks into an Acca will give you odds of around 14/1 with Paddy Power.
