In the Saturday evening kick-off Borussia Dortmund welcome Hertha Berlin to the Signal Iduna Park.
The home side will be eager to close the gap on league leaders Bayern Munich, but you’d be hard pressed to find any Dortmund fans who actually believe they can catch their Bavarian rivals.
More importantly though, where’s the value in the markets?
Dortmund to be winning at half-time
Dortmund have a mighty record against the Berliners, of their 32 Bundesliga matches at Signal Iduna Park the home side has won 19 and drawn nine, losing just four. Hertha find themselves just outside the European football places at the moment and will be going for that in their remaining matches, but against Dortmund they’re going to need everything (and more) to go their way.
Dortmund have lost just once at home this season, that 0-1 loss to Bayern in their last home match and are massive favourites. They’ve been incredibly good at home all season, scoring 3.21 goals on average per game and conceding just 0.79 (the lowest in the league).
Lucien Favre’s men have won the first half in four of their previous five home matches and are surely going to come out of the traps strongly here too.
Both teams to score
As already mentioned, Dortmund are averaging a huge 3.21 goals per home league match this season, so you’d be bonkers to even imagine they won’t score here. Meanwhile, Hertha are currently in great away form as they’ve gone seven matches without defeat on the road – scoring 15 goals over those seven matches and conceding nine.
While Dortmund’s record of clean sheets is impressive and worth mentioning, Hertha though have scored at least one goal in four out of five previous games at the Signal Iduna Park and with an away record of 1.64 goals on average, we like the look of Both Teams to Score.
Jadon Sancho to score anytime
With Erling Haaland likely to miss this match through injury, Jadon Sancho has a chance to continue his fine goal scoring run. He was outstanding last weekend against Paderborn scoring a hat-trick as Dortmund romped to a 1-6 victory.
With Marco Reus also likely out for the home side, much of Dortmund’s attack is going to go through Sancho and we fancy his chances of getting on the scoresheet again.
