Borussia Moenchengladbach’s restart had looked as if it was going to go quite well – especially with that 1-3 win away at Eintracht Frankfurt – since then though, they’ve lost 1-3 at home to Bayer Leverkusen and drew 0-0 away to Werder Bremen. They really need to start winning again if they want to remain in the Champions League places, especially with Leverkusen hot on their heels.
Their home record in the Bundesliga is good with just three losses so far this season. However, over their last five at home games they’ve lost two, drawn one and won two. They’ve only played Union twice before in their history and are yet to beat them, but this will be their first time playing them at Borussia Park.
Goals have come aplenty at home for Gladbach this season and over their last seven home matches Over 2.5 goals has landed on five occasions, with Both Teams to Score has occurred on six. They’re scoring an impressive 2.21 goals per game at home and conceding 1.36 on average.
Union’s away form isn’t good, with just three wins on the road in the league this season. Their goal scoring record on the road is a worrying 1.0 and have conceded 2.07 per match on average. We believe ‘Gladbach will get back to winning ways here and we’ll see a few goals too.
Paderborn have now gone nine matches without a victory and it’s hard to see them getting a much-needed three points here against Dortmund.
The home side have collected just eight points from a possible 42 at home this season. Dortmund, on the other hand, have lost just four times on the road, winning seven and drawing three.
Paderborn are at least scoring goals though, 1.29 on average. But, the problem is they are conceding 2.29. Dortmund on their travels are averaging a healthy 2.07 goals scored and 1.64 conceded.
Over 2.5 goals has landed in five of previous of Paderborn’s six home matches and in five of seven previous away Dortmund matches. Dortmund are the far stronger side here and with that good Overs record we’re looking again at combining two bets; Dortmund to Win and Over 2.5 goals is 4/6 and we’re all over that.
